Because 90% of "poor" people are actually just stupid with their meager yet livable incomes and lose it to needless spending. I don't think I'm great with money but I have a decent income and still cook the same 5 things in rotation, based on the staples I buy. I barely even eat beef anymore since the cost cannot be justified when pork and chicken are right there at 1/2 the price.

And where else would you even get food? Walmart? Like 3x the distance.

      >where else would you even get food? Walmart? Like 3x the distance
Let me guess, the shitass gas station is a 10 minute walk and the actual grocery store is a 30 minute walk. That's 40 minutes extra both ways, easily worth the investment if it means saving your pennies. You will always be poor if you automatically choose the most convenient option every single time. These only exist to keep poor people poor, they're betting that you'll keep overpaying for shit because you don't want to spend a little bit of extra time or effort.

god damn, that's brutal. poor guy

he deserved it. my shaman grandfather told the poacher to give us the hind leg of the moose he killed on our land and the poacher said he was a christian and he didn't believe in witchcraft. worse things happen to poachers. he's lucky to still be alive. worse story i heard was someone blinding themselves with a knife because they hallucinated getting attacked by a pack of wolves.

Pratically poor. All their income goes to property taxes

            we don't pay property taxes.

it's pristine virgin woodland. only evidence of human habitation is a few rundown log cabins and some flint arrowheads i found in the water. it's a pretty weird place. i've had trees talk to me, saying: "don't cut me down, there's bigger trees over there" and give me directions to where they are. this land has kept my family alive since the 1800's, all it asks in return is to take only what we need, keep out poachers, loggers and miners. if we fail, consequences will never be the same again.

Ever seen American poor? They're fat. If they die of anything, it's stupid choices with too much of the free-money-yet-lack-of-knowledge they have, such as dying of fat diseases (diabetes, heart failiure) or drug/alcohol ODs. If you're American and poor and you know how to play the system, you can collect tens of thousands of dollars a year (either in cash or "in kind" stuff like fuel/housing assistance) and live like a fat little ghetto king.

Ever seen poor in most "poor" countries? They look like leather-wrapped bones. They starve in the street. They die of actual poverty, not awash in ignorant, fat bliss like here.

American poor are fat because what they have access to isn’t even food. And leather wrapped? You talking about starving African pigmies and shit? Yeah that’s because they’re unironically ignorant savages, any other rural society eats way better and is healthier than welfare Pigmericans.

No one can beat this. It's called "lockup loaf" and it's what they feed you to punish you in federal prison. Usually for fricking up at work (you have to work in prison unless you're disabled).

Some advice: Don't commit tax fraud, evade paying taxes, or lie under oath in federal court unless you want to know what it's like to eat this and then offer to file down a fat guy's toenails so you can use him for a blanket at night when it gets cold...only to be outbid by someone who can do a girl voice in the dark and smeared Kool Aid all over his head so he sort of smells like a chick so now you have to "sleep" on a slab of concrete with a paper thin sheet that doesn't even cover your feet...because SOME dignity must be retained.
