Boiling eggs is the most hands off cooking you can do. Get the water bubbling, eggs in, 8 minutes later put them in a bowl under the running cold tap and then peel them.

I’ve tried those for the same reasons, they last fine and had bright yolks and all, but they didn’t taste very good. Most of them ended up in egg salad
