If by black coffee you mean americano, I agree. It tastes and looks like watered down shite.
Instead go for a nice ristretto or espresso. I recommend the brand illy (expensive) or costa (cheaper). It is a lot stronger but that way you actually get the full flavours of the coffee.
Milk and sugar just take away from the taste, unless you’re going for one of those Asian coffees that are very sweet (idk what they’re called I’m not a huge fan).
Agreed. They all have that signature ‘instant coffee’ aftertaste. Worst part is I’ve been to legit restaurants that serve instant coffee thinking nobody realises. To be fair it works well for what it is — a quick way to get caffeine.

ngl I actually like instant coffee. No sugar and a splash of milk, can't go wrong. Sip those all morning when I'm at home until I switch to beer.
Definitely prefer a short black or moka pot if we're talking black coffee though. I work for an appliance company who makes fancy machines so I get to have real coffee during the week

I believe they all have this weird prejudice against black coffee that it has to be extremely bitter and nasty.
They are just easy to be brainwashed by pop opinions.
The truth is even for cheap freshly roasted coffee ($6/500g bean), you can easily make a colorful and tasty cup of coffee. And honestly even cheap nescafe original does not even taste that bad if you do follow the recommended recipe.
If you have a decent blend and it's brewed right, it can be excellent. Unfortunately I don't trust it to be done right outside of my home

I try to limit my consumption of other drinks besides water. Most that weird pride are the same kind of people that tout nofap former soda addicts that feel the need to preach the gospel, when they're no longer bound by their addiction their health improved.
I'm very manly because I like bitter coffee. You can be manly as me by drinking very bitter coffee. You become a manly man by drinking bitter coffee. That's how manliness works.

But if you get upset because someone else ate something that you don't like, then you're a fricking child and you need to grow the hell up.
sometimes caffeine with no calories is nice, like if you're doing some kind of mental work and want to wake up/focus but it's not time to eat yet

It tastes bad. I recommend adding some milk and sugar, tastes pretty good that way.
I only drink it because it doesn't break my fast.
