Some people will throw cooked food out after a certain amount of time as it's supposed to be unsafe. And then there's me, about to eat sausages I cooked over 2 weeks ago.
Same, I found some asparagus in foil I'd cooked 2 weeks ago and forgotten about and tucked in
I'll keep stuff for as long as I can, until I can't force myself through the off flavors of it going bad anymore. Typically this means ~10 days, sometimes a little longer depending on what it is. But to your actual question, no, it's not normal. Lots of people don't like to bulk cook, and if you have a partner or a family, you likely won't end up with enough leftovers to go that long.
And that's IF they would even want to keep stuff that long. I go to friends' places and hear them go "oh wow, I cooked this on Friday -- it's already Monday! Time to toss this out!". The world is a mad place.
if its not moldy its fine, i had a cooked steak in there for like 2 weeks and just nuked it and i lived.
It's fine.
But always do a sniff test.
10 days is pushing it imo, but there are lots of people who have no issues eating food over two weeks old.
i find it's better to keep them alive in your fridge for the 5 days, and then cook them when you need them. chickens are tough since they eat anything, so keep a vegetable crisper open to shut them in

I autistically put dates on everything I cook because I’m retarded and would forget when I made things, then felt all guilty over the prospect of wasting food so I’d just leave something in the fridge for weeks and stare at it fearfully every time I opened the fridge door. I have a one-week rule. If it has been six days and I haven’t eaten it or plan on eating it I freeze it or feed it to my wild raccoon. I like to load up tortillas with random leftovers I don’t want or are expiring and that brazen fat fuck scampers up and snatches it right out of my hand. I love that little bastard.
Not this greedy bastard. He is the son of a mother raccoon I used to feed, and she’d bring all her kids to eat. That was a circus, four wild raccoons running up to me for food. Anything that doesn’t go into my stomach, the freezer, or the composter goes to my man Greedy Boy.

Frog legs, when cooked properly, are extraordinarily good.
But what about the rest of the frog? Never hear much about eating that...
>But what about the rest of the frog? Never hear much about eating that...
the rest of the frog is organs and cartlage.
and?
Is it good to eat?

Got any pics of the fat retard?
Now that you mention it, no. Hmm. This must be remedied.
only women keep old leftover in their fridge until they mold
I only keep leftovers in my fridge if I'm planning to finish them in the next 2-3 days max.
otherwise I just freeze them.
the fridge police: special leftovers unit aren't going to kick in your door and send you to gitmo over it
I try to keep it under a week but shit happens
