They're not as good at sloppa as Indians.

Yes. In my town a Mexican grocery store is the best place in town to get goat meat.

I remember when I was 4 or 5 my dad went to some Mexicans he knew and brought us home a pet goat one morning
It ran away or something but he should have stuck around we had a big barbecue that Fourth of July and there were all kinds of people and fireworks, it was comfy

Mexican food is just 99% Old World dishes using inferior New World ingredients.

Its like, wow, you made a flatbread, then folded it and filled it with meat? Babylon called 6000 years ago and want their ideas back.

I hear that they fold those flat breads over 10000 times to maintain authenticity.

Yeah, that's how they make most "Spanish" rice in Mexico, mixed frozen veggies, butter, caldo, and if they want it really red a little tomato paste

Eat some super-fancy live cultures yogurt, the kind they make from whole milk at the hippie grocery stores
Eat some every day along with some kimchee and/or fresh sauerkraut, wash it back with some of that orange fiber powder
Do that every morning and every afternoon
Eat beef jerky and dried fruits, granola, anything to soak up the water leaking into your gut

I’ve been drinking Greek yogurt every morning. I’ll add more probiotics though, maybe a glass of kefir at night. I’ve heard of travelers diarrhea, which is what I’m guessing I probably have, but is it normal for it to last over a week?

I had it for two weeks after going on oral antibiotics, it was so bad if I drank a glass of ice water 10 minutes later I'd be flushing a glass of ice water down the toilet
There's a war for territory in you gut right now
After a week I started doing the above and it still took a week for it to fix
Psyllium fiber powder is what it's called generically

raw garlic in the morning, grated and let sit for 10 minutes
chop an onion, cover with honey and let sit in the fridge overnight, drink the liquid that comes out (great to down the garlic with)
and finally sauerkraut in a meal.

Al pastor authentic tacos are really good, as is horchatta.
Additionally, your good ol strip mall, tex mex sit down Mexican restaurant with 100 menu items and lunch specials is amazing. Always great service, chips and salsa when you sit down, carnitas, everything comes with the plate of guac, sour cream, beans and rice, it's all reasonably priced, BUT on top of all that you get really cheap margarita pitchers for a nice tequila buzz. Hard to beat.

It's really mediocre and I live on the border atm, mole is kinda awful and tamales are severely overrated.
It basically boils down to, some kind of protein slathered in a salsa that's either red or green (variants built off these but not any real difference tbh) with tortillas and some rice.
It's very basic and while I enjoy a good taco, it's not special, but even the taco is basically arabic food that was brought over from Spaniards who were invaded by arabs and left their food.

Speaking of arabs, they might be backwards, cousin fricking desert dwellers, but they got great food. They have a lot more spice combinations that mog the shit out of salsa, they also use goat and sheep, and if you're not a muslim, the flavors work great with pork as well.
Mexican food is kinda like Indian food but with less flavor combinations, it's just fricking sloppa, which is okay I like sloppa, but it's nothign special at all.
