Is there a way to make homemade cola syrups with common household ingredients?

Is there a way to make homemade cola syrups with common household ingredients? Whenever I go without cola for a day I get crippling headaches and migraines, but in this economy it is increasingly harder to afford my nectar. Yes I know the sodastream syrups exist but they are starting to compare to normal soda in price so it's not really worth it for the flavor downgrade.

Not really. All the attempts at creating cola flavors using pantry herbs and fruit peels fall flat. You need the essential oils, unfortunately. The good news is they're all easily available on Amazon and you only need a tiny amount to create a lot of syrup.

But the true cheapest method (if you're not sold on NAME BRAND COCA COLA) is to buy generic cola syrup from restaurant supply stores. Webstaurantstore has generic cola syrup for $50 for a 5 gallon box before shipping here: https://www.webstaurantstore.com/narvon-5-gallon-bag-in-box-old-fashioned-cola-beverage-soda-syrup/515BIBCOLA.html and you could probably get cheaper still if you finagled around. 5 gallons mix to 25 gallons of soda which works out to $2.4 per '12 pack' or 20c a can and I don't think you're going to beat that mixing on your own.

I'm a bit skeptical. This would work just like any other syrup just mixed with carbonated water? It looks like it's designed for a special restaurant grade machine.

If you're going to be hooked on Coke for life you may as well buy yourself a restaurant machine

Being skinny doesn't mean you are healthy. If you have a crippling addiction to soda you are basically setting yourself up for horrific end of life issues. Enjoy losing your legs to beetus.

You could do with a substitute or just wait, like, a week, it'll be fine

These have spouts that attach to top valves like https://www.webstaurantstore.com/g/3842/tap-valve-for-bag-in-box After that you just draw as much as you want per. They last six months after opening if you store in a cool place - and if you're this devoted to soda, you'll probably get through 25 gal in six months if we're being honest since it's about 20oz a day.

The Fallout cookbook on Amazon is pretty decent for making 'Nuka Cola' (the recipes online also).

It is fairly straightforward to make the syrup then you can experiment with some of the different flavor variations (I particularly like the Nuka Cola float).

Cola is like pizza. It has to be able to stand on it's own without a shit load of toppings. That's why store brand colas are still garbage despite their cherry colas or vanilla colas usually being passable.

Cola is already a slew of a gajillion different flavors anon, there's a reason why the Romans were mixing the shit despite having access to soda springs.
