The best jerky brand is homemade. It's so quick and easy to make for low cost that even a moron can do it.

Yes, as far as widely available stuff goes. The regular Old Fashioned is really great, as good as Pemmican used to be. I haven't found anything else in stores that even comes close.

Absolute fricking moron who probably uses a boomer soy sauce recipe. Your jerky tastes like SHIT.

Is there a beef jerky out there that doesn't take like a fricking candy bar?

Look for cowboy style jerky or the flat shoeleather kind, you have to go to online shops like Mahogany Smokes Meats, Robertson's or M&S Meats. Check for sugar content if you really care.

If youre calling someone who make homemade jerky a moron and then referring people to buy storebought jerky you are a shill

No it means your family humor you with forced smiles because your food is fricking disgusting and you have no business commenting on how much better your inexperienced layman tripe is than professional food products that gained success by being way better than anything you could ever hope to shit out. That clear enough?

All you have to do is follow a youtube recipe and you can make jerky better than any mass produced shit, it's also much cheaper storebought jerky is a massive ripoff

                No israelitetube needed.

Just slice lean meat into thin strips, place onto wire racks, oven bake at 225 for 2 hours with the door cracked. Boom, jerky. Better in a smoker of course.

Marinade with whatever, dry rub with whatever, add curing salts or not. Do what you want. Curing salt makes it last longer and you don't need the fridge to store it.

Always will be better than the dry leather or beef powder they sell in stores.

Nah, that guy is right. Jerky from the store is way better than jerky from home unless you're actually skilled. I know that everyone has an uncle that made the best jerky they ever had but that guy has been doing it for years to get that technique. I have experimented a lot with this myself and you can basically just forget about getting a good product in an oven. It's too hot and too sealed, it cooks too much by the time it's dry. Good jerky should be raw. Honestly if you don't have a dehydrator the best luck you'll have is just hanging the meat from a string and blowing a fan at it. That's what our ancestors did.

Second of all, jerky from the store is cheaper than homemade if you buy the huge bags of it. It's only expensive per pound because the meat shrinks so much when you dry it out. Anyone who has actually tried this will know that jerky is just expensive period.

would prefer if every single commercially sold jerky didn't contain soy sauce
i don't care what flavor they want to call them, it's all fricking TERIYAKI, and i am sick of it!

Is there a beef jerky out there that doesn't take like a fricking candy bar?

You can just throw any dry rub on them and smoke em. Not hard. No "sauce" needed. No sugar needed. Just need some curing salt and whatever your preferred rub is. Or go plain, I don't care what you do, it's your jerky.

Hell, you don't even need a dehydrator or smoker, just do this shit in the oven at low temps, like 225 for about 2 hours. You just need wire racks.

There are amish people and a butcher who make it better than me. The amish guys I used to buy these thin but very wide and long slabs from with tons of flavor.

Takis were pretty good when I was in highschool. Spicy as frick and decently sour. Now they barely have any flavoring on them and the flavor that's there is all sour and no spicy.
If you have to get takis get the gauc flavor honestly. It's not gonna be spicy no matter what flavor you get so just get the one that tastes good.

I haven’t had beef jerky in ages because of how fricking jacked the prices are.
I live in a college town and a bunch of butthole kids cleared the entire shelf out, along with the BOGO beer.
