"considering IQ useful" is the statistic which I used not IQ itself. maybe if you worked to comprehend what you're reading you'd understand why IQ isn't a useful measure.

they're completely different statistics. one is a qualitative binary measure of opinion and the other is a supposed quantitative measure of intelligence.

How do people actually enjoy olives? Is there something I'm not getting with them? Am I a tastelet?

        Anonymous

An acquired taste like beer that you may not appreciate straight away if you are sensitive to astringent and bitter. Its like getting into metal music you don't go straight to shitting dick skulls you start with slipknot and work upwards.

Most canned or jar olives in USA taste like a bunch of bitter vinegar, so I never loved them. In EUR (spain) the local olives taste incredible - like bites of fresh, nutty olive oil with salt. There is a lot of variation within olives and it’s worth trying different ones out. Whole foods or an italian grocer will have a good selection

I know cooking at home is cheaper but when it comes to sushi it's literally 1/10 the price and so fricking easy you don't even need to cook, it's barely more effort than making a salad

you actually outed yourself as a midwit

I tried convincing my brother and sister-in-law to buy farmed frozen salmon and use cold water defrosting to make maki rolls. I told them that shaping sushi is a lot of fun and not that hard. These morons think that you need special supplier fish from special suppliers that only the sushi places have access to, and that the chefs at your average 3.2-star budget sushi place somehow know some secret to preparing raw fish that ensures you get no parasites. I am like, 'bruh, I just told you the secret - FARM RAISED, NOT WILD, LOOK IT UP, IDIOT.' So yes, 100% x10000000 sushi at home is a 10/10 midwit/cooklet filter. They make cooked fish/seafood + avocado rolls, and they're pretty decent, but a simple basic tuna or salmon or sea brasem roll, no apparently this is best left to the professional drug user at your local shit joint.

I've been practicing with crab sticks and I'm getting better at it, maybe I should get one of those rolling mats

My main thing is something just doesn't seems quite right about the taste. What's the secret to the vinegar?

          Anonymous

          >3 tbs of unseasoned rice vinegar
          >2 tsp of white sugar
          >2 tsp of salt
this ratio is for 2 cups of rice. when you steam the rice add a cap full of sake' and a sheet of kombu

that's just because japan is autistic though and gets caught up on details that don't really matter

like you may think it takes years to master the likes of jujitsu, but once you realize a couple simple rules
1 don't let the person occupy the space between your armpit and your hip
2 always keep your head vertically aligned with your butt and don't let it tip
3 if your bottom leg isn't pinned you're free to stand up any time you want to
4 to attack just do the opposite to the other person

congratulations you're an expert in the gentle art

Nta but Shinjuku is supposedly notorious for tourist bars/clubs that hire Nigerian "touts" to stand outside, harass people, and even try to physically intimidate them into entering the bar/club, where they are then subject to various scams involving "extra service fees" on the bill, possibly also outright drugging, before they wake up the next morning with the bank acct empty and their credit card maxed out.
