I've been a staunch defender of the king for years but even I am starting to get worried. Can't he branch out and learn new recipes from another culture instead of posting all this wacky shit?

Sometimes the torch is passed. Sometimes it burns your fingers as you lift it from a hand that no longer has the strength to grip it.

Who could possibly take the torch from john? I can't think of anyone with the same gravitas and commitment to unabashed food making. Everyone else plasters their faces and makes it a big show and dance with memes and shit. I love john because he has been the same guy all this time. Just a pair of hands making good food with the occasional boomer joke. It will be a real shame when he finally retires.

It's remarkable how consistent he's been over 2k+ videos, even though he sounded a bit different at first he had the set up dialled in from the get go. I should archive them to an external drive before they're lost to inevitable internet rot.

I don't eat Asian food really. It isn't Gochujang a spicy chili paste of sorts? I mean I guess weirder shit exists.

It's a one year old mainstream meme recipe, not one of his insane experiments. I don't mind either way.

It's literally impossible for one chef to maintain quality over a long sustained career. How many recipes does any individual person actually know? At a certain point, they have to start making up shit purely to keep their career going.

You've at least tried it before you knocked it right?
Gochujang in cookies sounds fricking weird, but who knows, it might be good.
