Hood fan grate? Sorry to say, once it reaches that point it's beyond fricked. Best to get a replacement and keep up with cleaning before it gets this bad again. Preventative maintenance and all that.

You'll need to dunk it in hot soapy water for a few hours. Rinse it and then use those oven cleaners spray and scrub it.

      >use those oven cleaners spray and scrub it

this OP. A rental inspector once gave me the tip of using oven cleaner in my shower (1 shower + 3 dudes = pitch black bathtub floor in no time) and I haven't looked back, shit is magical for tough grease stains

Buy a cheap plastic tub and soak it with brake cleaner
Wrap it with a contractor bag or big black trash bag and let it sit out in the sun for a day or two then wash it off

Here's an update. Looking really good. I'm going to throw it back in the tub for another soak of an hour and see if I can get the last of this shit off.

Why would you do this? Pans get black. So what? They still work just fine. It's a $30 pan. That's like a six pack of beer and a scratcher lotto ticket. I'm sorry, you are moronic.

            >That's like a six pack of beer
I buy miller high life and smoke camels so for me I can get at least a 24pk and 2pks of smokes for $30. Now you're telling me a fricking cookie sheet is worth more than that? I bought this thing 6yrs ago and so now that it's clean it will last me another 6yrs. I don't think you understand man this thing was so dirty, my pizza started tasting really shitty because of all the other food cooked on it. Need to happen. It's done and I'm going to go smoke and get drunk, happy fridays

i'd tell you to have a nice day for being such a lazy Black person, but i doubt you could even be assed to learn how to tie a noose

One quick 30 second futures trade at the NYSE open and you've paid for the pan plus a tidy profit. Why spend so much time and effort on a consumable item? It's like trying to restore a beat up Ford Escort. Not worth it. Time is money. Time is also life. How much is your life worth in dollars per minute?

idk if I'd want to do this on anything that comes in contact with food, but this is solid

      Done in 5 minutes

as is this, although I like to do something like mild abrasive (scotchbrite/etc), cleaner, then heavy abrasive (brass wheel), cleaner.
if I was trying to do full resto I'd do walnut/glass bead blasting at the end - you do all the prep first so you contaminate all your expensive glass beads with as little debris to stretch it out

For the catch pan (I'm assuming that's a catch pan) in my air fryer, I just cover it in foil and replace the foil regularly.
