>fry rice for 30s (until some of it is golden)
>then add two parts water for each part rice
It was that easy, why didnt (you) tell me it was that easy
The taste isnt anything special, it just tastes like what i think it should taste like

      You could pour stock instead of regular water when you cook rice. That or you also could add spices to your water.

      Unless you cook basmati or Jasmin so you put 1part rice 1 part water. Put the lid on, lower temp, ready in a 20min.

      Im not sure what type of rice it was, but 1:1 is usually not enough for me

      Add onion and garlic, and maybe even orzo... My Persian cousins do it like that. It's fricking GOOD.

      It didnt do much of a difference before, i feel like onion and garlic lose the taste when i cook them

    my mum used to do it this way but she would sometimes add a tiny bit of angelhair pasta kinda broken up into small strands, it adds interesting texture to the rice.

    Look up Hainanese Chicken Rice.
    The method of cooking the rice is similar, except the oil has to be fried with chicken skin, garlic & ginger.
    Then you use chicken stock instead of water to cook the rice in a pot.
