      Crust looks good but the filling looks dry. Could just be the poor quality photo

    I made scotch pies recently and I found the ground beef filling was very compacted and didn't fall apart like yours did
    I didn't add any water so maybe that was the problem? I also mixed it well

    I started making British meat pies last year and was confused that the dough recipes didnt call for salt. But I think its because theyre supposed to be eaten with a salty gravy.
