Yes, but only because you're a lazy slob who wants extra Black folk touching his cold food. Be ashamed

I only used them rarely, but I stopped using all of these services altogether when my province filled up with "hustler" pajeets who will take like 7 orders at once from different apps and spend 30 minutes driving around the other side of town before bringing me my cold goyslop.

it's burgers (two for one) so i'm not too worried about the food getting cold, they tend to wrap them shits up pretty good fr

what did you put for tip? usually orders don't go to low rated drivers until everyone else has passed on them

I didn't put a tip. If they want extra money they should get a better job.

Most people do not rate the driver. I've done like 120 deliveries as a driver and only have 11 ratings. If a single person were to "thumbs down" me, for any reason, even ones outside of my control, like they were really far away, didn't order Priority, so they got batched with another order, and their food got cold, I would go down to 92% immediately (assuming Uber is calculating a thumbs up as a "1" and thumbs down as "0" points, and I'm not sure if that's really what they do). The ratings aren't necessarily reflective of real performance.

        >I didn't put a tip.
Drivers are picking trips based on expected pay-out, since the base pay is so low. If you don't tip, then drivers see your offer come through as "Wendy's, 8.2 mi, 35 min, $2.50," which is below minimum wage, and after paying for gas and depreciation on their car, the driver would actually lose money delivering your burger. So, logically, you will only attract the most moronic drivers to deliver your food when you don't offer a tip. Now, this is not the whole story, though, because Uber has ways to trick drivers into accepting bad offers, like batching your order with another one, but the long-and-short of it is that you may be too dumb to use this app.

Eh...sort of. In some markets, the driver can see you whole tip. In my market, and as I understand, in MOST markets, Uber hides any part of your tip over $8 from the driver. So, if the base pay is $2.50 and you tip $20, the driver only sees "Wendy's, 8.2 mi, 35 min, $10.50)."

          >Uber hides any part of your tip over $8 from the driver
They can still tell if you tipped and by how much. Orders that show the $8 max will be more attractive than orders that show less than that. More money for the order means more interest from drivers, simple as.

i always put 'not now' and usually get a driver with a 90%+ rating. can they really see the tip beforehand?

idk how uber eats works but they removed the ability to see tips on doordash because too many moronic drivers were fricking with the food of no tippers. so now its take all orders and if you get a tip its nice but otherwise you can expect whatever they give you for time and mileage.

yeah, the thing is though it can be changed after, when I would deliver I could see how much they tipped as *projected* and it would show up like an hour after delivery. 99% of the time it was fine but there's always one butthole
