        Based Dan Quayle poaster

I didn't have the fancy stuff and I tried using normal toothpicks. The result? I forgot about them and nearly damn choked on one

It happens, was it at least tasty?
(they have frilly toothpicks at the dollar tree most of the time-those swanky bamboo spikes and even little umbrellas on occasion.)
ONLY reason it matters is for posting it online; unless you are a purist.

You must be mad...I mean, crazy...Crazy-insane..

        NO FRICKING ALFALFA SPROUTS!!
        >As with a BLT, toasted white bread is standard, along with iceberg lettuce, bacon, and tomatoes. The sandwich is usually dressed with mayonnaise. Variations on the traditional club sandwich abound. Some replace the poultry meat with eggs (a "breakfast club") or roast beef. Others use ham instead of, or in addition to, bacon, or add slices of cheese. Various kinds of mustard and sliced pickles may be added. Upscale variations include the oyster club, the salmon club, and Dungeness crab melt.
I have worked at 3 different restaurants that offered Club sandwiches, all had at least swiss on the turkey later, unless it was a Roast beef club, in which case there was sharp cheddar and a little horseradish.

Cheese is a variation not a classic. I only consider the classic a club sandwich. Sorry I hurt you're feelings

            >Sorry I hurt you're feelings
            you didn't, it's casual..
...and you are correct. I remember saying as much at the time--Also told them a classic Reuben does NOT have cheese. it defeats the whole purpose.
