Are burgers the most overrated "food" ever made?

Daily reminder a double cheeseburger, regular whopper, and jr. bacon cheeseburger are the best burgers available at McDonald's, Burger King, and Wendy's respectively.

      Trash. Doesn't even have cheese.

Whopper Jr. beats regular Whopper IMO. but JBC being king is objective fact. I can accept a McDouble for the arches as well.

Not the whopper but the mcdouble and JBC are GOATED. Only good fast food burgers are the ones you can eat with one hand and not make a mess. White Castle sliders are also acceptable.

A good burger should bukake you when you bite into it.

It boggles my mind how often "restaurants" will give you a burger that:

    >is far too tall to make any fricking sense
    >the bun is smaller or as big as the patty
    >the other toppings spill out the moment you grab it

I mean, for frick's sake, cooking isn't just about combining the right ingredients, it's also about combining them in such a way that the meal is pleasant to eat and not a bloody mess. This is basic b***h gastronomic engineering. Don't make your food unstable and hard to eat.

Honestly, I'm far more in favor of wraps of any kind, since they contain the ingredients inside very effectively and are not messy at all if wrapped correctly.

this is my major problem with nachos.

Same. I'd rather have a small bowl of queso with the other 'toppings' mixed in it, and I just use it as a dip.

A properly made burger can be held easily and bitten into cleanly
Meme burgers are too big to hold together and eat, but they are the exception, not the rule

Is this the skill issue thread? While we're on the subject I have a hard time flipping omelettes, they usually stick to the pan. I've found the best method is to sautee the ingredients and then pour the egg in with them, but that doesn't completely solve it. Any advice.

A quality non-stick pan that you take great care to never scratch because thats how it starts sticking, and you also inly ever use it for eggs and omletes
Option 2, double or tripple the amount of fat you use to cover the ingredients not sticking, the egg not sticking, the egg absorbing a bunch while cooking.
A good trick is as the omlete cooks lift up the edges and add a little fat that will slide itself under the egg
tl:dr a good non stick pan you NEVER scratch

Cook a protien in the pan first so that there is some oil residue. Turn the heat up, get it med/high.
Mix everything in a bowl so it's ready to pour, and get a table spoon of water ready, and the lid to the pan.
Drop the water in, pour the egg mixture, and cover it. Let it steam a couple of minutes.
Lift and fold. Turn down the heat, uncover, and add whatever toppings you want after it's near cooked and turn off the heat and recover. Let the toppings melt and serve.
