    So usually I disregard the instructions to put the pizza directly on the oven rack and use my pizza tray, but this pizza actually comes with a tray of its own that you can stick in the oven, so I used that. This is very similar to a rising crust pizza in that it clocks in at over 2000 calories. Let's see what we can cook up!

    So when I pulled this pupper out of the oven and noticed the grease on top of the pizza, I started to worry I was in for another wet sloppy disaster, but thankfully that wasn't the case. The sauce was pretty mild, the cheese pretty standard, but the crust! Oh my goodness. The crust on this pizza is delicious. A satisfying thin layer of crunch on the outside, soft fluffy breading on the inside. I found myself delighting in every bite because the crust was just so incredibly tasty. What really held this pizza back was the pepperoni. It was alright, but I did get a bit of funky pepperoni vibe from them from time to time. I'm definitely going to try other varieties sold by this company because the base components are so good. It's really just held back by the pepperoni topping. I felt like I was eating restaurant pizza at times. 8.5/10

        Whenever I get this one I reorganize the ronis (for a 16 slice cut) and temporarily remove the pizza from the tray to put the dislodged cheese back on top.

      MCPC Supreme is my favorite freezer pizza. You should definitely give it a try. Three meat is even worse than pep, imo.

      I've been telling you morons for years that motor city is the best frozen pizza you can get. There is no comparison. But you have to get the one with 4 meats.
      They drown it in meat it's insane. Also you have to trick it up. The cheese and toppings are always clumped up so what you do is pick up the pizza and dump all the cheese and toppings you can into the baking container, then sprinkle a bunch of italian seasoning, garlic and onion powder on the sauce.
      Add whatever else you want, last time I did caramelized onions. Then while holding the pizza you take the baking container and dump all the cheese and toppings back on and spread them out evenly.

      Take all the pepperonis and layer them across the edge of the pizza so they bake into the crust, there is more than enough toppings to fill the center without them and now you have a flavorful crust as well. Finally sprinkle a bit of parm or motz on top.
      Sadly motor city still has the fake cheese that turns crusty when it gets too hot so a bit of real cheese on top helps to prevent that. If you do all that it takes an already good frozen pizza to a great frozen pizza. I suggest some hot sauce and ranch for dipping as well.

    I will never understand people that buy frozen pizza with any toppings other than cheese your own toppings will ALWAYS be superior

    OP, they make a 4 cheese version that is vastly better
    adding your own choice of meats/veggies will 100% to any frozen pizza will always make for a better meal

    I love Detroit style pizza, hard to find around here though. Last I checked my local grocery stores and Walmart they didn't have this brand though. Central FL for reference.

      Still, I try to limit the slop and alcohol whenever possible. You don’t want an unexpected heart attack or liver problem before they actually cure that shit

            Little pricey but worth it for the quality ingredients (and lack of junk ingredients). Probably the shortest list of ingredients of any frozen pizza I've seen. The flavor is good by default but sometimes I add cheese, sauce, sausage, etc. to mix it up. Good luck

    Why have all these frozen deep dish pizzas switched naming from "Chicago-style" to "Detroit-style" ? Seems like it happened all at once in the last year or two. Has Chicago become so horrible that they no longer want it associated with their products? Because honestly Detroit is just as much of a shithole.

      Chicago *deep dish style pizza was huge in the 80s-90s, nobody really had access to Detroit style until recently outside of MI and shitty options like Little Ceasers. Now that it is more prevalent people realize the fried cheese thick crust is superior.
