MSG

For the first time in my life I've bought a bag of this stuff

What are the dos and don'ts?
And what are some recipes/dishes that I need to try using it in?

Do throw it in the bin. Don't use it unless you like migraines.

I use it sparingly. In soups, stews. It's not poison more ike salt is. Are people dropping dead over the world eating msg?

sprinkle it into your chinese food since the restaurants wont do it for you anymore

You can use it with anything with meat or mushrooms
If you want an example of what not to use with it, mix some into some pickle juice and drink that

      >If you want an example of what not to use with it, mix some into some pickle juice and drink that
Does this do something particularly odd or is it just extremely salty? I'd try it myself but I'm busy lying in bed scratching my balls.

basically you can use half salt half msg. that'd about the appropriate amount and also lowers the total sodium

That crap gives me a headache and makes me really tired. Couldn't figure out why I was always so tired after eating Chinese and I think this is the culprit. I know for sure it gives me headaches. Sausage does the same if it has msg in it.

Lemme guess, this never happens when you eat Doritos

        >eat Doritos

I haven't had a dorito in 20 years. I buy organic corn chips and organic shredded cheese. And no, I feel fine after eating them. Corn alone has high levels of glyphosate (weed killer) in it. 85% of corn is GMO and the reason is so it resists weed killer.

But MSG is a naturally occurring glutamate derived originally from seaweed
There's loads of glutamates in red meat, eggs, mushroom, fermented foods, dried foods
Anchovies are loaded with glutamates to the point where some people call them "Italian MSG"

So use anchovies or anchovy paste instead. It'll make your food taste better.

I do, I use all the ingredients at my disposal

It will make it taste like meat
Even though pickles are savory and go well with meat, the MSG conflicts with the vinegar

Vinegary meat drink sounds fricking great honestly, I bet it'd go great in a sandwich.

On their own they were nasty, but I didn't want to throw them out (I did a whole jar) so I eventually used them with chicken/tuna/ham salad sandwiches and that was actually great
Not egg, though, I mean, you do you, but I don't recommend it

          >I haven't had a dorito in 20 years
You're missing out bro. Dorito technology has come a long way. I just had the fiery mango baja blast doritoes the other day. Shit was fricking dope.

I try my best to avoid any type of GMO corn. It is saturated with glyphosate (weed killer). When I'm eating corn chips I do the organic ones with organic cheese. I put shredded cheese on the chips then throw it in the toaster oven or microwave for a few minutes to melt the cheese. Options include adding free range ground beef, organic lettuce, organic tomatoes then dipping in organic salsa.

It's so delicious that I couldn't even imagine eating a plain GMO corn chip with MSG and dyes on it. Doritoes is no good.

Yes, and I've noticed that Meijer (grocery store) only carries organic ones now. Which is odd, but based

Use it to season your fried rice. Add white pepper powder, salt and msg (and a bit of sugar but don't go overboard)
