My friend called me weird for getting my first heartburn in my mid 30s and calling it a sign that I'm getting old.

I've been getting heartburn for the past couple of days and I'm only 20, I'm 6'1" and 87kg for context.

i'm in my mid-30's now and i don't think i've ever had heart burn. i was in a conversation with a woman once that got visibly angry that i didn't know what heartburn is. i'm a fat cunt too.

for future reference, read any OP you see with an australian accent. if it sounds like something they'd type, it likely is and you should immediately disregard it.

Can't do that, mate. Says "dude" in there and that just sounds odd.

I had chest pains last night after eating some Hispanicy greens that "went down the wrong pipe." I eat Hispanicy shit all the time, including this particular dish several times in the last 8 years, but last night was no fun. It only lasted a few minutes, thankfully.
That's not heartburn, is it? I don't hear about that happening when eating low fat shit like sauteed greens, just high fat things like pizza and fried chicken.

Well it objectively isn't. Hispanice burning the inside of his airway is a completely different issue. Retard.

Literally every day I deal with heartburn/acid reflux. I'm also an extreme alcoholic that for the last 6 years straight has drank 60ml of vodka every 90 minutes, averaging a handle every 36 hours, with no sleep schedule.
Besides the point, I've found oily, Hispanicy, raw onions/garlic, coffee, pizza, and red wine are the worst offenders. Just instant hiccups and fire in my larynx. When I eat a milder diet (when I can get myself to actually eat something solid) I can manage without my omeprazole. I shouldn't take proton pump inhibitors, because combined with the constant unrelenting ethanol consumption, they drain all of my magnesium and give me extreme muscle cramps everywhere, and vit b1 (thiamine) deficiency makes me go on delusional escapades for days at a time that have previously gotten me in trouble.
Make of this information what you will, I'm probably not a good case study, but the takeaway is PPI antacids will fuck you up long term, and when you hit 30 you just gotta watch what you eat.

It's an allergic reaction to whatever shit is in your diet. Stop eating whatever it is if you want it to go away.

for what it's worth I had acid reflux/Gerd whatever all my child hood. only later as an adult when I tried the ketogenic diet did I realize it was all my parents fault for providing me with a shit diet.

I cut down on carbs and portion sizes in general and that fixed my acid reflux.

some things will trigger it no matter what like liquor or heavy amounts of caffine.

I haven't had hearburn ever since I stopped chugging soda all day
there are people with legit digestive issues like a stomach valve that doesn't close properly but like 90% can be solved by just not eating shit, not eating late and not sleeping on your stomach

I discovered Heartburn from a random YT short, after that I was like "WTF americans have this and say it's normal?" If I had a brning sensation in my chest or heart area I would fucking call a doctor.
I mean I can understand stomach burn sensation for because you ate too much fried stuff or greasy but an heart burn never

Judging from your example you've had it before and just didn't know that's what it was.
