Their quality has gone down a bit since COVID depending on their location. Some are still great though.
The fires suck, but the chicken is good, and since I used to work there I confirm its never frozen and marinated in MSG for 24 hours. Though honestly its really good after marinating for 48-72, if its a busy location it likely will never hit that length of time.
Toast was better when they used to melt the butter and add their own garlic and garlic salt, but they switched to a universal premixed spread thats no where near as good. Still tasty though.
They really should invest in new fries.

When my family and I get chicken, it's from Popeyes but the only side we get are the fries. Everything else is godawful and other chicken chains are even worse. I make the cole slaw and we have the chicken with that and a salad
i just tried them for the first time a few days ago and liked it. tenders were good, fries were good, both of those things are pretty hard to fuck up. i thought the cane's sauce was a bit too salty and vinegary but maybe i'm just a bitch.

I tried Culver’s when I was on the road and was thoroughly unimpressed.
I will look into slim chickens, but honestly with how fucked the fast food economy is I’m so livid about paying $4 per tender that it skews my ability to enjoy the food.
I’m not even poor enough that it affects me, I’m just fucking mad about it.

my complaints with this place have always been:

they need to thoroughly fry their french fries

Their tendies are okay, it's all about the sauce. Their fries are decent and the toast was good when they toasted both sides. The freshly squeezed lemonade is fucking tasty. I never go there anymore, they upped the prices and shrank the size of the tenders.
Fir me it's crispy crunchy chicken and sometimes the Popeyes chicken sandwich.

They opened up one here in 2019 and except for this year I have eaten at it 3-5 times a year.
2019- liked everything except cane sauce, tasted like ranch with franks and old bay or season salt.
2020- fries were soggy and smaller
2021- fries still sucked and chicken was flavorless with thin breading.
2022- they switched to a plastic food container, now the steam caused the texas toast and chicken breading to get soggy. Also the strips looked smaller
Last month I ate there for the first time this year because my drunk neighbor was ranting about how good their honey mustard was,
I didnt even know they had it and it had been a while so why the fuck not?
All the previous food quality problems were still there and the watery honey mustard sucked.
I'll give them another shot in 6 months unless my girl drags me there.
The sweet tea and lemonade has always been awesome.
All their shit being soggy now is definitely a big issue. The one in my town is always so swamped they don't fry the chicken as thoroughly as they should. Still good though. I personally love cane sauce.
