Olive Loaf

Who eats this shit and who is it marketed to? I've never seen anyone buy it and it's always staring me down in the grocery store.

    It's marketed to you
    It's in your brain
    It's in your heart
    It's inside of you
You can't get away from it

    >Who eats this shit and who is it marketed to?
People who like olive loaf and people who like olive loaf
    >I've never seen anyone buy it
Do you camp out in front of the olive loaf at your grocery store all day with binoculars or something? Why do you feel like people who buy olive loaf must be making their purchase known to you?

      >Why do you feel like people who buy olive loaf must be making their purchase known to you?
Call it a hunch but I've felt like I've been targeted for olive loaf purchases lately and I don't know why. I've thought about olive loaf and there have been threads made about it afterwards, and whenever I go to the grocery store (twice per month) the olive loaf is moved to a different part of the meat section that I usually visit first when purchasing food. It's been bothering me so I finally decided to make a thread to figure out if I fit the profile of someone who usually buys this and see if I'm being targeted by guerilla marketers.

        >I've thought about olive loaf and there have been threads made about it afterwards
This is worse than I thought. You're being so heavily targeted by Big Olive Loaf that they've already set up the mind-reading device outside your home and their agents are watching your Culinaly usage so they can invade boards to target you with olive loaf ads. You'll need to flee the country immediately.

Eventually at your weakest you will cave and consume the olive loaf. And then you will be one of them.

I tried it out of curiosity one day a long time ago and found that I liked it. Olive loaf, head cheese and liverwurst are good IMO and also a sandwich with any of these will guarantee that nobody will ever steal a lunch with your name on it more than once.

        They grow.

I buy cachir. It's like North African olive loaf. I've never had the real thing but the one I buy from Tunisia is pretty good.
For some reason, there's no English Wikipedia article, despite there being an article for the 2014 Algerian Presidential elections where the incumbent tried to buy votes by offering people sandwiches with sliced cachir lmao
I'm not even North African or anything but my cleaning lady was and she told me all about this shit and turned me on to cachir. It's good shit.

It's Depression-era food, like head cheese.
The olives stretch the meat out and make it more affordable.
It's not that different from Mortadella with pistachios in it.

That's really good. I like also a Polish meat pie. (Rabbit is the best meat for it in my opinion, but you need it much more).
      You will need to get:

      Ingredients
*60 dkg of broth meat (we use chicken meat with skin and pork shoulder)
      *2 carrots
      *1/2 celery
      *1 onion
      *3 cloves of garlic
      *3/4 cup of milk
      *1 Kaiser roll
      *2 eggs + 4 hard-boiled eggs
      *salt and pepper to taste
      *1 teaspoon of herbal pepper
*1 teaspoon of smoked sweet paprika
      *1 flat teaspoon of thyme
      *25x11 cm mold
*1 tablespoon of lard to grease the mold

      Preparation:

      1. Soak the Kaiser roll in lukewarm milk. Grind the cooled broth meat together with the carrot, celery, onion and garlic twice in a meat grinder. Transfer to a large bowl.

      2. Beat the yolks, add the bread, milk and spices. We knead the pâté with our hands very carefully. The better it is kneaded, the more velvety it will be, and therefore the tastier it will be. Beat the egg whites until stiff and gently press them into the meat mixture.

      3. Place half of the pâté into a baking tin greased with lard. Place the boiled eggs on top along the tin and cover them with the rest of the pâté. Smooth the top with a hand well moistened with water. Place the prepared pâté in the oven preheated to 180 °C (top-bottom without convection) and bake for 50-60 minutes.

      4. Remove the baked pate from the oven and leave to cool, preferably overnight in the fridge. After this time, carefully remove it from the mold and place it on a plate. Voilà!

I have a lot of empathy for Olive Loaf. I was picked on in school for liking Star Wars and Dr. Who more than most people. I hate both now, but, things were different then. Anyway, Olive Loaf is the most understood and underestimated cold cut of them all. I love you Olive Loaf <3

Good choice, but trio olive-pickle-pimento loaf is the patrician choice if real mortadella with all that plus pistachio and pine nuts isn’t available
