It is. It's what happens if you make an omelette DU fromage. It's a mockery of how non French speakers say that instead of omelette AU fromage. One means omelette WITH cheese, the other means omelette OF cheese. Guess which is which.

It means more "omelette of the cheese", really.

an omelette of cheese is like a measurement for the fr*nch, like real people would say a cup of flour or a quart of milk

Omelette DU fromage is closer to "omelette of the/from the cheese"
But yes, AU fromage means it has a cheese flavor from being prepared with it, another good example would be "Coq AU vin"

        solid reading comprehension

I joke that it looks like a quesadilla because it's a little well done. I'd still eat it and enjoy it. Cooking an omelette with an outer layer of cheese (usually parm) is a go-to for me and the extra crisp/browning is somewhat unavoidable.

tell me how making a quesadilla of an omelette isnt conducive to turning it into a pizza

Nah nah nah, you gotta put the cheese in first so it turns into a tuile shell. Just cook it low and fold when the cheese is still pliable.
