I started there. You either pass to make your own dough or be filtered and buy the ready made.

I like the cinnamon roll ones. I have been a bit shy about making homemade cinnamon rolls because the recipes call for yeast.

Trying to open these pressurized tubes always makes me nervous like I'm disarming a timebomb.

If you can take the roll it expands slowly and delightfully with body heat 😉

I've never attempted but isn't it especially difficult and time consuming to make flaky layered pastries? One of the few processed products actually worth buying.

These are good for camping. Wrap that shit around a stick and toast it over the fire for a bit.

    Turn-overs used to be great.
Then they got into other shit.
Now the only type of turn-over is apple and you can't buy normal cinnamon buns because of these shit ones.

My grandmother used to make the crescent ones for our Christmas get-together and roll a lil weiner into them. They're really good. Everyone always told her how amazing and delicious the rolls were but then she would scowl and say that they come out of a can. None of the families do Christmas together anymore since they've started to fight about who gets the money and the house after grandma dies.

They're fine. Flaky layers biscuits are the shit. Crossing things for pigs in a blanket kick ass. I like how the can explodes like champagne. Why are they so pressurized, anyway?

Yeast is still in there active, cold fermenting slowly. This pressurizes the container a bit.

They're fine for what they are, but I think they'll die with boomers, honestly. Modern day folks fall into one of two camps, neither of which will buy refrigerated dough.
    >Won't fire up the oven/stove for more than a 15 minute meal
    >Too culinary to use cake mix
Camp A won't frick with a bread item that isn't premade. Camp B won't frick with a bread item that they didn't make themselves.

They are great in a pinch if you need a bread-like product or pastry like product and don't want to mix shit. The pastry part is actually the more useful because no one has time or equipment to make 1000 layer folded Japanese bread.

These are the only ones I buy regularly and that's just because rolling real cinnamon rolls is pure suffering (for me).

Only puff pastry is worth buying because its a pain to make. Other ones are so simple to make its barely worth buying these

Do they contain actual butter, like a good pastry has to?

Thats a great question! And remember there are no stupid questions... anyway, they are a canned product that is created to have as long as a shelf life as possible, so no real butter! You fricking moron.
