>red peppers are the sweetest

>red peppers are the sweetest
Why is this myth so persistent? Anyone with working tastebuds can easily just check for themselves and see that the yellow ones are sweeter

Bell peppers are shit and have zero place in any respectable dish. Zoomers and cooklets just put them in for "color" and "fresh vibes" when all they do is ruin every dish they touch. If you want a pepper, use any of the millions of cultivars of hot peppers. Adding them to a dish otherwise is like having onions that never caramelize or soften with none of the flavor. You'd probably get more complexity out of a handful of leaves than one of these. I've NEVER seen anyone in my life taste an in progress dish and say "this needs a bit of bell pepper because only an actual moron would say something this inane.

They're literally the exact same, the color is just for color in your dish.

Green are definitely more bitter, to the point where I won't touch them.

Bell peppers are nothing but edible cardboard. 0 nutritional content, or vitamins/minerals.They have no taste, no flavor, and once cooked have no texture either. Its a shit vegetable for poor and uneducated people who don't know other vegetables exist that taste better. Why buy a bell pepper when theres 100s of other vegetables better for you
