Redpill me on Cigars and Pipes

I smoked a couple cheap cigars yesterday, enjoyed it.

I have a few questions to help me proceed in this hobby.

>1. What are the cheapest quality tobacco blends/Cuban cigars:
By this I mean the cheapest product that is past the quality barrier, and fairly accessible/popular, not obscure. Think the Glenfiddich 12 or Wild Turkey 101 of cigars.
>2. What are the risks of smoking tobacco without inhaling. My great gramps smoked cigs daily without inhaling and lives to 96. Obviously there are risks but are they at the level that deserves autistic screeching and sneeding.
>3. I have a pack of cigarettes that were given to me 8 months ago, are they bad to smoke regardless or can I smoke without inhaling as a one off and be fine.
>4. Affects of smoke on eyes, hair and walls.

>inb4 look it up yourself
I have but I want organic opinions, on the internet I have people telling me it's the worse thing ever and people telling me it's the best.

Also, try cigars that come in metal tins of 5. They're usually good and not too expensive, for instance pic related.

Nicotine is one the most addictive drugs out there, and tobacco is full of nicotine. Cigars are in fact made of tobacco. You dont have to breathe in for some of the nicotine to enter your blood stream

            >1. What are the cheapest quality tobacco blends/Cuban cigars:
For cheapness get Vegas 5, Rocky Patel, Gurka. Don't buy from tobacco stores, get them shipped via cigar catelogs (i recommend cigar international) and if you're serious then get a humidor. Cigars can get "better" with proper humidity but don't go putting crap cigars/flavored shit in there.
            >2. What are the risks of smoking tobacco without inhaling
You will drive every woman away from you whenever you light one, though some consider this a reward/incentive rather than a risk
            >can I smoke without inhaling as a one off and be fine.
Sure, but you'd be wasting a cigarette. Cigarettes/chew are for the tobacco high. Cigars are for the flavor/experience.
            >4. Affects of smoke on eyes, hair and walls.
Yes. As in yes it will affect all of those
            >I have but I want organic opinions
You're talking about a literal plant. It's literally a fricking dried plant with plant leaves as the wrapping. You can only frick this up by buying gas station cigars and soaking them with fentanyl

you get higher off cigars than any cigarette is capable of. sure it's not that adrenaline burst, but it's pretty damn heavy. cigars have a body load that cigarettes do not.

Kindof like a hookah too, I have a cousin that loves them and we burn up a cafe near his place every time I visit almost every day I'm there but there no craving and when I leave there's absolutely no withdrawal.

It's genetics. My grandma is 93 and also smoked her whole life. Only stopped a decade ago because of diabetes. Smoking objectively isn't good for you but it doesn't mean you're guaranteed to get your neck plugged. It's a roll of the dice.

Just because your grandma was lucky doesn't mean you will be either. Smoking is objectively terrible for you. I can't believe /misc/homosexuals really try to convince people smoking isn't bad for you.

That is literally what I said.

        >Just because your grandma was lucky doesn't mean you will be either.

Never implied otherwise. The fact is that OP can get lucky like my grandma or his grandpa did. I don't smoke because it's also gross.

So is sugar, alcohol, salt, and really anything that isn’t a precisely-measured liquid meal replacement and distilled water. The oldest woman to ever live smoked cigarettes every day; so long as you’re not burning through a pack daily you’ll be fine. You have a bigger chance of dying in a car crash.

If you want the quality that's inferred when Cuban cigars are mentioned, get Nicaraguans. Lots of Cuban cigar producers fled to Nicaragua when Castro took over, and are of equal if not better quality due to stricter quality enforcements than in Cuba.
Nicaraguans are more often cheaper too.

My personal favourite so far are My Father cigars, especially La Gran Oferta series.

    1. Just get Cohiba and Montecristo. They're not cheap but they're good.
    2. You don't risk lung cancer when you don't inhale, but you can still get mouth and possibly throat cancer. The risk will depend on how frequently you smoke, and to a lesser extent the quality of the tobacco (whether it has additives or not). Quality cigars like from 1. won't have additives. Same goes for pipe tobacco and cigarillos. Cigarettes are the worst, as they're packed full of chemical crap. Avoid them.
    3. They'll be fine to smoke but might taste weird. You can smoke cigarettes decades after they're made.
    4. Probably negative, but again depends on how much you smoke.

There's also possible benefits: nicotine may have positive cognitive effects, and it's pleasant to have a smoke in the right setting.

Just smoke quality stuff and don't smoke too much and you'll be fine. I for instance like to smoke my pipe or have a cohiba cigar once or twice a month, usually when I'm out camping or otherwise out in nature. It's very pleasant.

Oliva Serie V or Serie O is a good mid price cigar. Padron 1964 is another very good one.

I can answer 3. Cigarettes are not the same as cigars, and after 8 months they are stale as frick anyway. They're the only people that smoke cigarettes without inhaling are 13 year old girls, if anyone saw you doing that they would laugh at you. Give them away to a homeless person.

I don't know what that image is, but those predrilled buttholes means super cheap shit smokes.
Best for the price, decent, is Oliva V. Any of them. My Father (the original, not My Father this or that) is also excellent.
Smoke outside. You will smell like an unfrickable piece of shit for 24 hours but at least your living room will not.

    >What are the risks of smoking tobacco without inhaling
If you smoke a cigar a day your odds only go up by like 2%. Fact is the anti-smoking push isn't because it causes cancer, rather it's because smoking actually helps filter out the fluoride and estrogen they put in our water supply but an outright ban would be too obvious/cause too much an uproar so instead they try to scare you away. This is why drinking despite arguably being far more dangerous is still deemed as acceptable in society because it keeps you dormant.
