Rivian Truck Camp Kitchen

not sure if this belongs on Culinaly, anyone have any experience with this portable stovetop that comes out of your truck? curious to see how well the sink and stove performs and if it can be used to cook for larger parties.

Bud, are you alright? You're projecting so hard it's interfering with international air traffic.

i read a review by an auto journo i like and respect who mentioned that during the press roll-out for these things they had a chef cooking for a pretty big crowd on that thing.

you know those things are costly as frick, yes? cool, though. not my cup of tea, but they seem legitimately cool and very well engineered, designed, and constructed, from what i've read. seen a few around austin, but haven't gotten up close to one

    >curious to see how well the sink and stove performs and if it can be used to cook for larger parties.
The frick do you mean “perform”?
The sink is a camp sink. It has a “faucet” connected to a painfully small tank, and is no more useful than pouring water from a jug into a bowl.
The stove is induction. It “performs” like an induction stove.

Oh I'm sure you know more than the engine-
      >4 gallons for your water kettle, drip machines, dishwashing sink, spray fauce-
      Nevermind this is moronic.

thats plenty of kitchen water for a couple of days... oh it ran out? refill it with a water jug, dumbfrick

          >a couple of days
There's the problem. I assume this is for more than one person. If you're not drinking 3/4 a gallon of water a day you are dehydrated. And you need water to clean yourself, even if you're just wiping off with a wet cloth. Then you have the problem of them portraying people cooking pasta and shit with this. You will be killing massive amounts of water. You had best be keeping several 5 gallon jugs in the back of the truck if you want to spend a couple of days outside doing this shit with 2 or more people.

            >refill your water bottles from a water jug.
            >fill your pasta bowl from a water jug
            >>>okay okay, showering from the heated rivian spray faucet does sound nice
... though i just got swimming in a river or shower when i get home after a few days.... if your gonna be out camping for more than a few days in an e-vehicle, you may wanna spare the battery and cook over a fire or propane cans. not wasting your battery on heated showers for everyone in the party to shower everyday.
            >You had best be keeping several 5 gallon jugs in the back of the truck if you want to spend a couple of days outside doing this shit with 2 or more people.
people already do this. just refill the convenience water sprayer after a couple days of use...
a vehicle has limited space... more limited use water storage means less general use 'other' storage... you know what you can store in that 'general' storage? water jugs.

i lived out of my truck for 3 years dude.
