>ruins your hamburger
seriously, why have so many restaurants fallen for the pickled onion meme? this isn't the 18th century anymore so there's literally zero reason not to use fresh onions

Never had it on a burger. Pickled onions are better for almost anything else, nachos, tacos, salads.
So wrong
looks pretty tasty
it tastes like an old mans anus
sauteed onions > pickled shit
You have bad taste buds and should have a nice day
yeah bro keep eating them pickled donkey dicks
You have a lot of experience with old man ass?
>it tastes like an old mans anus
How do you know what that tastes like?
Pickled onions server a purpose of delivering acidity to fresh bites generally, Idk about throwing them on a burger thats a bit weird but ur kinda a homosexual if ur ass is blown out that they exist and are good toppings. Do you hate pickles too ya homosexual?
Sounds like it might be good. I'm going to make some tonight.
look at this homosexual and laugh at his misery
Keep on seething gays
Why are some of you homosexuals so obsessed with Reddit? What's wrong with you? Why does Reddit occupy such a large part of your thoughts?
A large portion of this website consists of teenagers that were banned from Reddit for being terrible posters
pickles vegetables are good on burgers and pickled onions are less sharp than raw. much preferred
>raw onion too spicy
lol
It's not spicy it's strong you moron.
You want to just take a bite out of a whole ass raw onion? What about a garlic clove? Dumbass.
>You want to just take a bite out of a whole ass raw onion?
Yes
you've never eaten a whole onion or garlic cloves before?
Onion yes, garlic no, but my family is a bunch of freaks who like to eat things most people don't seem to
Yes. Raw onion is a cure for congestion.
The sharp raw onion flavour and the crunch is what makes raw onions so great. Why would you rather eat mushy onions without the bite?
you have never had pickled onions
good pickles are always crunchy
You could just eat raw onions instead.
Pickled onions are usually milder and softer than raw
I like them because they usually end up sweeter too (I'm a bread and butter pickle fan)
Then don't eat them? What is the issue here? Schizotime?
how fricking flamboyantly autistic do you have to be to get assmad at "tasty" we talking getting dropped off at the game store by your mom in a minivan wearing a top hat, cane and graphic tee? maybe making seal noises melting down on one of those tastefully framed sideshow freak documentaries?
they really are tasty
>calling someone a pussy for liking pickles
unhinged
see, there are things that can be pickled e.g. pickled cucumbers. it gives them more flavor. then there are pickled onions which ruins the taste.
you need to expand your mind about pickles if you're to reach Enlightenment
My brother cooks real good food, but damn, he always, aaalways has to pour some pickled red onions to go with it, and then I have to eat that too, with a shit-eating grin. Vile stuff.
My friends boomer parents started making pickled onions. Why the frick is it trending?
Also caramelized >>> sautéed > none> pickled > raw
>caramelized onions
caramelized onions are better, slice of raw red onion is also solid
The color looks good in social media photos, that's it, that's the reason
that's probably the reason behind a lot of trends. avocado toast perhaps even
I think like, once, in my life I had an honest to god in-season properly grown avocado on something and it was extremely fricking nice. That being said I'm willing to bet that similar tomatoes- 98.9% of avocado shit that's sold at stores is from some poor wretch of a plant that's being made to produce fruit way outside its natural cycle and is most likely just some sad mush. So yeah maybe.
Its a shitty onion product.
They taste better than raw, but not as good as grilled
>this isn't the 18th century anymore so there's literally zero reason not to use fresh onions
... As opposed to fresh cucumbers?
cucumbers taste like shit on burgers though, unlike onions
I'm just saying that the logic doesn't really add up.
The reason people aren't using fresh onions is the same reason they aren't using fresh cucumbers.
They want the taste of pickling.
>but what about other thing?
kys
What kind of moron doesn't like pickled onions?
Anyone using those on a burger is just copying the crowd. They are great as a side or taco garnish but replacing normal onions with them is not great
>pickled onions
don't care, tastes good
