          I forgot the brand but I bought a tin of smoked pink trout some months ago and it was so fricking salty that the only thing we could do with it was use it for kedgeree. Y'know. That curried rice dish with the onions, milk/cream, smoked fish and boiled eggs? That.
          It was so good that we started to make it semi regularly.
          We tried one of those plastic hanging packages of smoked trout fillets, too, from the seafood fridge section of the supermarket and found them also extremely salty so into a kedgeree it went, too. Is the TJ's one salty, too?

          Tinned mackerel tastes nothing like fresh. Fresh is extremely fishy and I know that people who don't actually like fish don't like it but tinned mackerel (not that chub mackerel shit) just tastes like really good tinned tuna.

          Fair enough. The ones I've had have been horridly salty so I was concerned that it was simply the nature of things and necessary for trout in particular.

          Mustard pickled herring is better than mackerel in tomato sauce I think.

          Last tinned herring I had was very sweet but I don't recall what it was meant to be. I like the pickled stuff.

              I use a lobotomized version of Firefox to get around that. You can set Firefox so it remains in normal, non-private browsing, but it doesn't remember any history whatsoever

      Seasons. That was the second one I had after Chicken of the Sea. I like the plain KO better than Seasons but they're both good.
      All of the KO flavors except the one in OP are poopshits, tho. At least the ones we've tried.

      Theyre already cooked/smoked so you dont need to. Just put Crystal hot sauce on them then mash together, then spread on cracker

    I get the smoked kippers in mustard sauce from Lidl and make fisherman's eggs with them.
    Highly recommend.
