You'd need to get rid of literally everything and start from scratch. The only thing remotely close to a Chicago dog is that it's beef, but it doesn't look anything like a Vienna Beef dog.
>how much did you spend
Dogs were on sale for around $3. Broccoli slaw is around $1.70. Jalapenos are like $1.50. Store-brand buns were around $2 for 8. Ketchup and mustard were already in the fridge and I don't remember what I paid for them. So, uhh...I'd say that plate of food cost around $1.84. Don't know how that converts to dollarydoos, or whatever your currency is called.
i'd just drop the ketchup. maybe add hot sauce
looks good but drop the ketchup
FUCK KETCHUP I HATE KETCHUP DIE DIE DIE
I think when I bought it I was expecting something closer to a hot sauce, but it's pretty much just ketchup. It may say "no HFCS" right on the label, but it's just as sweet as anything else.
I really really like the ghost pepper beaver mustard
I'll keep an eye out for that. I really didn't like the super-hot-pepper-flavored-everything trend 6 or 7 years ago, because most of those peppers don't have that great of a flavor (and it doesn't matter that you're eating one of the Hispaniciest chilis when it's diluted down to the level of cholula). I do tend to like most Beaver stuff though.
Wow, such an informative and original post. I bet you feel extra smart in a thread where the OP explicitly said he’s not sure why he threw together that specific combination of ingredients.
Yeah, I just meant the heat kind of crept up on me when I first tried a spoon of it. Upfront it's all flavor, and then the heat comes at the end, in the back of your throat. Choked me up a little since I wasn't expecting it. I like that it's definitely still more of a mustard rather than a hot sauce with mustard flavor, which is kind of what I was expecting reading the ingredients.
I don't go to winco because it's crowded with weirdos and immigrants but I do love that every location looks identical and has looked the same for decades
I typically go at like 2 in the morning and it's pretty empty. I went around 10 last night and it was busier than I'm used to (more stockers than customers, but I think they have a lot of freedom over their schedule so that makes sense), but I've never had any issue with the people shopping there. I can't even walk into a Walmart or Target because of the people. Of course when I was ready to pay I got to the only open register and saw pic related...
I'm not up late enough for 2AM but I went to Winco around 10PM a few weeks ago and while there weren't a lot of people, the ones that were there were fucked. There was a group of tweakers communicating in raspy growls and grunts, a bunch of arab refugees spending their benefits and some general weirdos I didn't want to make eye contact with. During the day it's just packed. And idk what it is about Winco/Walmart but there is ALWAYS some retard with his ass crack hanging out.
I just go to Fred Meyer, it's a little more expensive but the clientele is more respectable and I get a ton of gas points with my rewards card.
Target is the worst. It feels like it's a magnet for degenerate and dysgenic people.

I remember thinking it wasn't that bad 15 years ago, but these days I immediately regret my decision a minute after walking through the door and just want to get out as quickly as possible. Walmart has always been like that. I don't even open a cooking thread if I see a Great Value product in the OP. Aside from frogs and wojaks it's the only thing that will stop me from even starting to read the thread, because you know it's all going to be low quality and low effort.

I'd probably go more often for a couple things if they were open later than 11 where I am. The worst part is that all the biggest weirdos wait until just before close to do their shopping (I don't count, obviously). The thing is the prices and selection at Walmart suck. I feel like all the poor people started doing all their shopping at Walmart 20 years ago and haven't caught on that they're no longer cheaper than other places. Yeah, it's fine to go every so often if there's 2 or 3 recurring purchases that they do carry for a better price than anywhere else, but you'd have to be crazy to do all your shopping exclusively at Walmart, especially when it comes to food.

Even if Walmart were always cheaper, for most things I'd be willing to pay more just to avoid going there. For those few things though I just go in and out as quick as possible.

you can plan ahead and order delivery it shouldn't cost too much also the Walmart pickup option is pretty good, if you have an easy order you can drive to the pickup at basically any hour you don't have to go at the set window you're supposed to, just notify them with the App or make eye contact with an employee who is delivering bags to another customer and they'll lookup your order and bring it out, same with target, either way i like entering any store it's the most eye contact and interaction I'll have all month and i can checkout the hot girls
Basically, I started cooking a couple dogs and realized I'd forgotten I was out of sauerkraut, and then saw a bag of broccoli slaw in the fridge and figured why not? From there I just grabbed things one at a time without really thinking about the overall combination, just that the broccoli slaw needed some strong flavors. It wasn't some terrible abomination or anything. It's just a bunch of flavors that in retrospect obviously weren't going to work well together and I thought it was kind of funny at the time. >shelled vs unshelled sunflower seed prices
broccoli slaw? on MY hotdog?
I really really like the ghost pepper beaver mustard
i'd just drop the ketchup. maybe add hot sauce
OMG OMG THIS
ME AND MY TRAN FRIENDS HATE KETCHUP
i don't hate ketchup, i just prefer hotdogs without it. simple as

you sound like you could be a good father
looks good
looks good
looks good
looks fat and smelly (like you)
Do people in chicago really eat hotdogs like this?
lol no, that's a little baby amount of veg for a chicagoan. you need the sport peppers, the little pickles, the onion, the tomato, the celery salt too
You'd need to get rid of literally everything and start from scratch. The only thing remotely close to a Chicago dog is that it's beef, but it doesn't look anything like a Vienna Beef dog.
>beef
shalom
you inspired me to buy some hotdogs today
I CAN'T KNOW WHAT I'M BOUT TO DO
I CAN'T KNOW WHAT I'M BOUT TO DO (AWW WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED)
>Not frying your hot dog
Slice shallowly on a bias then pan fry.
Norway Dog is eerily similar to the
Food stamp welfare Dog
>nacho sliced jalapenos
im not buying that a nacho sliced those
He was probably just operating the machine.
I don’t know what you mean, the only problem I can see is a lack of mayo.
>nacho sliced jalapeños
Do americans really?
that's just Tuesday for me.
How much did you spend? 40$?

They use a bunch of different peppers to dial the flavor in. Number one ingredient is peppers. I usually get it from WinCo.
>winco
Fug, I always forget they exist. Guess I know where I’m going later tonight.
Yea bro, they really "dialed it in" with xanthan gum and propylene glycol.
looks good but drop the ketchup
FUCK KETCHUP I HATE KETCHUP DIE DIE DIE

what are you, 5 years old? pathetic. grow up. the experts have spoken.

this prohibition is enforced so they can derive enjoyment from transgressing the prohibition itself.

>sweet mustard
Really?
post cock
would eat
phimosis
can't unsee it
fuck
I got the thing. It's definitely got a bit of a kick to it. Good stuff. Would recommend.
I also got about 50 other things I don't need because that's how it tends to go at Winco.
please let me eat chinese mustard
Is somebody stopping you?
The whole brand has a bit of kick to it. Doesn't matter what seed, root, or pepper they hit you hard with intensity in general.

always take you condiments to bed with you, kids
That beaver is so cute
I've always liked their logo designs. The fat that they make a good product is a bonus.
What are those green strings?
Looks great, but it needs raw onion

Chicago dog eh? I love it, just like Portillo's all you need is the famous cake shake to wash it down. Go Bears
For me it's mayo (in the bun), chow chow, and dijon mustard. Also I microwave the hot dogs.
Looks good, all you’re missing is a liter of some good, dark ale
What happened? At least you're eating good
