Guys ik ben een echte nederlander and i have to be honest with you, the stroopwafels are really not that good. The dough is meh, the caramel isn't subtle. It leaves you feeling bad after you eat it. You've all fallen victim to the Nederlandse Tourisme en Export Indusrie dus ja jammer jongens. Good chance you are getting lower quality for export stroopwafels to begin with. Leading to things like also beware of other sandwich caramel cookies that pretend to be stroopwafels but are not and also dont have the same properties. The only good stroopwafel is a fresh one made with only the normal ingredients, not all the shit they add to supermarket versions

just to be clear anons, there is a dutch anon shilling for these cookies which ingredients say they are 30% glucose-fructose syrup and contain soy lmfao. He is also assuming people are poor and shop at cheap supermarkets because they click the first google search result. Never a boring day on Culinaly
normally speaking you'd get them freshly made and hot a a fair or something like that
when its cold its still edible but it feels lot chewier, its supposed to be soft when eaten
I usually do it over milk'd tea, because otherwise you may get crums in your transparent tea and it just doesnt look very nice.
What are you gay?
i tried this and it just made the cookie soggy and didn't melt the caramel at all

Stupid spammer.
It just doesn't work, they get soggy from the steam and the caramel doesn't melt that much.
The heat of the tea cooks the waffle.
they're stup waffles, because you have to stoop down to the bottom shelf
like why even?
I eat those cold I didn't know they were supposed to be hot.

I do like them though will try hot or warm.
I love the tough, yet soft texture of those
I used to work with a Dutch lady who would bring in home made stroopwaffel sometimes
