Have you ever actually had it? What was it like? Would you have it again?
The idea of eating raw meat of any kind is really fricking weird to me but it sure seems to be popular.

I've eaten just raw ground beef before
Tartare is not ground. You are supposed to take slice of meat and gently scrub it with sharp side of knife so all tiny strings and tendons get left behind.
That's nice, dear.
I am not sure if you are being mean to me or not.
kool fren
>raw ground beef
Wow astounding cuisine, Europe.
I’ve had it and it gave me dioaerrhoae
Btw your pic is weird it’s supposed to be raw pink
Mett is pink, beef tartare is similar in colour to this but can be lighter or darker depending on the age and race of the cow.
If it's on a menu as a starter I'll often go for it. The meat itself doesn't have a strong flavour, so it basically tastes like mild tartare sauce. Like most steak, it gets a bit samey after a while, but it's a light, satisfying chunk of protein. Carpaccio is better.
It can be great or it can be terrible. It's not just raw meat but the meat makes a difference. The way it's cut makes a difference. The other ingredients make a difference, and the presentation/aesthetics even makes a difference despite what Culinaly NEETs want you to think
Dumb comparison
>Dumb comparison
>raw beef dish compared to a raw beef dish
Okey dokey.
I eat it like once a week, easy to prepare and delicious. It's the best on garlic baguette
it's very tender and mildly flavoured with pops of flavour from the other ingredients. it's no different from eating raw fish.
>Tartare
>Have you ever actually had it?
Yes. Also raw pork and plain raw beef mince.
>What was it like?
Good.
>Would you have it again?
Yes.

K.
>Good.
Congratulations on a thoroughly useless post. Do you answer all questions from people the same way?
>Congratulations on a thoroughly useless post.
Thank you.
>Do you answer all questions from people the same way?
Yes.
Do you think your post was more useful than his? Because it's less.
I've had it, being french and all. It needs to be absolutely perfect, from good, fresh meat, well spiced and made by good cooks or it'll be at best kinda bland and at worst make you sick. But if it's well made it's amazing, texture is incredible, and the flavour is so powerful
all I can think of looking at that is what would you get if you just plopped that meat+egg face down in a pan and cooked it.
I make my own like once every 2 months. Just get fresh meat from a butcher you trust. Never gotten sick. If I'm being greedy I'll have some large fries as a side to dip into the tartare. I find that it's better to do it yourself since you can control what you put into it and especially how much of it you put into especially when it comes to tabasco and stuff like that. Frenchgay btw.
raw ground beef is tasty even with just salt, pepper and extra virgin olive oil
It’s a good beer snack. A lot of pubs here serve it.
Filet americain, or American filet, is a raw beef spread that is served on a roll for lunch, or on crackers as an appetizer. It is a ground up version of the steak tartare: beef, seasonings, capers, onions, and some mayo and mustard to bind it all together....it's ground into a paste and spread on a white crunchy roll, topped with some sliced or diced onions and a few capers by choice.
I'm an expat originally from the Netherlands and I miss this shit like you wouldn't believe
Goes really well with boiled eggs too
We eat this in my part of Italy, too, less the eggs but I so fricking would.
I'm a german, we eat raw meat nearly very morning, Tartar is just tastier Mett (ground pork). Delicious.
Youre clearly not german. Inferior ass homosexual
Yes had it several times in Prague. It was great there. They serve it with fried bread and raw garlic cloves. You rub the garlic on the bread which essentially grates it. Then you spread the meat on it. Fricking excellent
i had something like this at the popular/well known argentinean steak house called gaucho. it was delicious, i had it as a starter and it was much nicer than the £100 steak i had for my main
I've had it a few times. it's usually okay. I don't ever order it but my mom likes it so we have it if I'm having dinner with her sometimes. I'm never really worried about the raw part, it's more just difficulty getting it to taste good with salt balance and any herbs added. last time I had it it was totally bland and just tasted like egg yolk
