Pre-sliced bread is just a consoomer meme, the crust keeps the bread edible.
        >the greatest invention since bread that gets stale and moldy faster enabling us to sell you more bread
If you an oven you can just make bread without all the shelf stable shit that enables them to ship and store it in an armpit.

Ironically, I can get decent quality real bread cheaper than decent quality bagged bread. I honestly buy bagged bread for grilled cheese and because my kid likes it but it's rather have something good and crusty, especially since it's inexplicably cheaper.

I leave the bag open and vertical. The topmost piece of bread sacrifices itself by drying up but the rest stay nice and soft. Closing the bag causes the bread to get moldy faster.

I've literally never had any bread, bagged or proper, go mouldy on me. My neighbour had a similar problem, with fruit and vegetables going off before her family can eat them, even if stored in the fridge. Turns out, her house is infested with mould. I'd get that looked into were I you

I buy freshly baked rye bread that comes straight out the oven still warm and it's packed in a plastic bag. It's literally just rye, water and salt so it should pass the Culinaly schizo test too.
To be fair every shit bread does come in a plastic bag though.

Every answer except twist and tuck is wrong. Freezing is okay I guess if you bought a lot of bread and don't count on eating it soon. I don't know why you would do that, but maybe you live 4 hours from a grocery store or something.

Freezing also seems fine if you live somewhere remote and only stock up on groceries once every few weeks

If you live that remote you should really learn how to bake your own bread.

well you keep it in plastic in the freezer. it works well but only if you use it for toast when you thaw it. any fresh bread with a decent crust is good only for toast after a day or two anyway.

I remember getting into a half drunk raging screaming match with my friend's wife about the twist and tuck method. She was convinced it didn't seal and you had to twist and tie. I explain to the dumb fat b***h that you can LITERALLY SEE the positive pressure inside the bag bloating out the sides. There is no passage of air from that seal if the pressure inside the bag is GREATER then the outside and it remains that way until the bag is untucked and spun open. Fricking dumbass. Luckily they are divorced now. She was a twat.

      I twist and clip.
But mostly because clipping is much easier to do after twisting with these simple bendy wire clips because it shrinks together at the twisting point.
