I don't like the chicken in the chicken fettuccine. It's spongy and weird, I don't know what the fuck they do to it.

      >It's spongy and weird, I don't know what the fuck they do to it.
Par cooked and then microwaved in the portion pack by a lazy line cook.
When I worked there, there wasn't even a microwave on the line.
You wanna know OG's "secret" marinade, at least from 20 years ago?
50/50 kikkoman soysauce and Dole service pack pineapple juice. marinated overnight in a large 4" ClearCambro.
      That's it.
I don't know what the do in the kitchen now, but when I worked there, we even made the salad dressing as part of morning prep.
The only thing that wasn't "Scratch made" were the #10 cans of marinara.
It wasn't top tier cooking by any stretch of the imagination, but as far as chain restaurants go, it's rare to see prep lists that large. Take Chilis for example: Literally the ONLY food there that didn't come in bags, boxes or cans,(premade, INB4 but muh produce boxes!,) was the pic de gallo that almost nobody ate anyway. The prep lists were little more than putting shit in portion packs and day-dotting them.
I kinda doubt OG still does it all In-House, but they really do actually cook food there.

You aren't wrong, but why not just fuck the shills over by hiJacking their shit and making it what Culinaly wants to discuss?
Otherwise, it's just taking up space on the catalog since Jannies wont fucking do their job, and even when the do, in the rare instance, DELET THREAD, two more will pop up in their place.
Fuck'Em! Co-opt this shit and make it YOURS!
Best thing for shill breads? Culinaly kitchen guys spilling the recipes for anons to cook that shit at HOME for 1/2-1/10th the cost.(and usually better too)
        Why not?
Every time you see some shitty shill thread "Organically" trying to "3 for Free" it, HIJACK that shit.

Plausible a lot of mom and pop places have gotten lazy and cheap with ubereats/doordash becoming popular

So Olive garden social media manager
im guessing they tasked you with attempting to slip this into the cultural ck zeitgeist because it was leaked that they might be closing all stores but now are playing it off as if its not happening so share holders don't sell off before the whales?

You are based, OP. Ignore the haters calling you a shill, I fucking love Olive Garden and always get the mozzarella sticks and five cheese ziti forno. Absolutely delicious.

I'd rather go to a chain restaurant that is always at least decent, than risk losing my money's worth at some local Italian eatery dump with shit food.

I have to go once a month for a working lunch with coworkers. The soup, salad and bread sticks are just fine for me. It's not fine dinning but it's better than eating fast food.

Literally just ate at Olive Garden for the first time in years today with a friend (I got the never-ending pasta-bowl and they got unlimited soup and salad) and is correct.

We traded options going through all the menu combinations. I came to the following conclusions:
Breadsticks are the best items on the menu period, then the soups (all are great, the Chicken and Gnocchi was and is my favorite) and the salad is good. Of the pastas: No difference in noodle taste-wise regardless of shape. The sauces are bland. Not bad tasting, but tasteless. There's a reason they leave separate salt and pepper grinders at the table for you. Also when they come to grind the cheese for you, it's important that you let them go on for an almost-uncomfortable amount of time (a visual cue if you can still see any pasta below the layer of grated cheese it's not yet enough). I think they purposefully underseason their pasta/sauce assuming that customers will compensate with added cheese at the table.

I also forgot they give you some after-meal chocolate mints to take away with your doggy-bag leftovers.
