American-style tacos are pretty good most of the time, but I will not have you slander with your broad brush proper taqueria-style tacos.

Skill issue, for both the eater and the cook, since the ground beef should be greasy enough to make the shell pliable. But I unironically think your chubby Midwestern mom has enough other positive qualities to make her genuinely lovely and endearing, irregardless (yes, I said it) of those funny Taco Nights. You use a bowl, and when the situation gets too bad you use a spoon, it's a "taco salad" now, and really nobody is complaining, so why invent problems, we have enough problems already, it's ground beef and sodium and crunchy carbs and Old El Paso salsa like from the commercial, and there's HEAPS of it, nobody is leaving hungry, and it's going to make fantastic 2am leftovers with a cheeky pisslager. BE (clap) GRATEFUL (clap).

The midwestern taco night is delicious and I refuse to hear otherwise. Who cares whether or not it's "authentic," neither is our pizza or chinese takeout, we took a concept someone else had and made it our own, and the result is fantastic

Honestly, if you have a round rolling pin, you don't need to do shells the way he does. Just fry it flat for a bit, take it out, then place the shell on a rolling pin. It will harden and have a bigger area for fillings.

Yes Dmitri. Mexico will nuke the USA. You forgot one minor detail though. Can you guess? That's right! Good boy! Unlike you, Mexico doesn't have any nukes. Pay more attention next time, uncle Putin doesn't like it when you get caught in the open like that.

    based double-decker enjoyer
I've also taken a soft taco and spooned the fillings in the middle of the soft tortilla, added fritos or tortilla chips on top and did the fold-and-tuck around the outside edge to seal it like a dumpling
then toast both sides in a pan to melt the cheese and hold it together to create a DIY crunchwrap supreme

Fukken based. Incidentally, I am just learning that the historically black nation of SWEDEN has apparently adopted the American Taco as a comfort food, years ago, with their own weird twists, GOOD ON YA, let us know when you need a retaliatory wave of mutt immigrants, we are ready to Serve and Eat Tacos.
