Why is gravy on fries allowed? Is the crispiness of the fry not important to Anglos?

It's the same thing with poutine, chili fries, carne asada fries, whatever. They don't keep well, you're supposed to eat it hot and fresh. You are trying to eat it all before it becomes room temperature mush.

it started out serious because theres some appalling foods sold at football games in towns of like 30k population and they know drunkards will eat anything, but im convinced now people just take horribly put together "meals"to these games and take a picture for twitter likes.

It doesn't matter if the pie is upside down I would still eat it.
But gravy on this (and mushy peas) is a Northern thing but I would still eat it anyway.

I guess being a Southerner (well - West Country) I would just prefer no gravy and dip my chips in a pot of curry sauce.

As regards 'Crispy Chips' or 'MacDonalds type Fries' I don't think we Bongs care about crispiness on our chips anyway.

        >I'm from the South West and prefer gravy.
There are always exceptions but you know as well as I, that it is more of a Northern thing.

I noticed somebody mentioned Poutine! Ok Canada seems to have adopted this but It was eaten in the North of England before Canada was invented . . .but Hey Ho!

Add mushy peas, replace chips with mustard mash, and replace the styrofoam with a giant, flat yorkshire pud.
