This is "family size" in 2024 in America.

This is "family size" in 2024 in America. If the cost of living is increasing, then shouldn't the size of the bottles and boxes of these products? This ain't gonna last not even a month.

coating lettuce in soy oil and sugar doesn't make it healthy

You should make your own dressings. Tastier, healthier, cheaper, and one of the less time consuming aspects of cooking. It is also fun, like coming up with a wienertail recipe on the spot.

If it was truly family sized, it would be the same weight and dimensions of a typical American family.

Most of this shit is made with petroleum solvents. Get some avocado oil and make your own dressings.

Wait, you can use that shit as a marinade? Hold on. Hold on.

You can use any liquid as a marinade. You need rules and instructions to tell you how to cook?

    >If the cost of living is increasing, then shouldn't the size of the bottles and boxes of these products?
No? If the size of products was growing with their cost, then cost of living wouldn't be going up, you'd just be buying in bulk for no reason. An increase in cost of living *means* that cost is increasing more than quantity (compared to income).

I'm sure you've seen and heard the complaints about quantity sizes of things decreasing throughout the decades though, while the cost increases or stays the same. The least they can do is increase the sizes. But in a way, they do attempt that with their "nOw WiTh 20 pErCeNt MoRe!" adverts on their product.

Not going to happen unless we flay the billionaires and politicians in public, feed their corpses to starved pigs, record the whole thing, and show it to the children of anyone powerful for the rest of human existence.

1 Tbp of dressing is serving size, so for a pint of dressing, 32 servings. That is surely family sized if you have salad every other day or so. Let's assume you have 2 or more flavors, for preferences.

A bottle size has to do with shelf life once opened. I wouldn't want a bottle any larger, in other words.

Nobody uses only a Tbsp. of creamy bottle fart on their salads.
Any anon who would LIKE to eat healthier or at least BETTER quality should look into making their own.
You like ranch? Fine, the packages of dry mix are far superior to the bottled shit. The recipe from "Scratch" isn't even hard.
      ▢1/2 cup mayonnaise
      ▢ 1/2 cup sour cream
▢ 1/2 cup buttermilk or regular milk
      ▢ ¾ – 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
      ▢ 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
      ▢ 1/2 teaspoon dried chives
      ▢ 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
      ▢ 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
▢ 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
▢ 1/8 teaspoon finely cracked pepper
▢ freshly squeezed lemon juice to taste approximately 1-3 teaspoons, adjust to taste
Just as good is actually dressing your salad with a good vinegar and a good olive oil.
Pro-tip: you can use a cleaned out squeeze bottle(soap and water please) to store the ranch in, but a Ball jar is just as good.
