why do you mix everything together like you're a pig eating out of a trough

      >food can't mix, that's ICKY!!1!
      toddler mentality lmao

Ironic because toddlers mix their foods together in the same mindless fashion as OP.

Mixing foods is fine if they go together but OP is clearly a cooklet.

You haven't raised a toddler, have you? You put 4 things on a plate, they will eat them one at a time.

    My dinner is
    >last shreds of a flank steak, wrapped around cream cheese and chopped up jalapenos thrown under the broiler, wrapped with bacon
    >oven roasted green beans with bacon and parmigiano, also chucked under the broiler
I have a frickload of bacon and various other weird shit. This is what the internet provided that looked the most appetizing.

I usually don't like cream cheese on stuff. Now sour cream....

It was basically jalapeno popper stuffing.

As an aside, they were fricking great. The green beans were also really good and I don't really like green beans in the first place. As far as lonely and miserable single male dinners go, I r8 it an 8/8. Everything was ready in about 30 minutes total and clean up was nonexistent.

How'd you make the green beans? I typically don't like them either but with asparagus and brussel sprouts approaching $4 a pound where I'm at, I'm ready to start exploring alternatives to my typical greens.

            Anonymous

Roasted them in the oven. Pad of butter, minced some garlic and tossed them in that along with some black pepper, grated some parmigiano on top, cut up a couple of pieces of bacon and put them on top for the fat to render down. I would not say it was healthy in the slightest.

I do really like collard greens, but make them the way granny made them and it takes all damn day. I am from the south, though, so tastes may differ. I dunno if wealthy types have discovered collard greens yet.

I thought about sprouts from your post and stopped off on the way home and got some. I'm going to make them the same way I made the green beans, except no garlic. I don't think garlic would work as well on sprouts. Dunno why.

The sausage is smoked jalapeño cheddar kielbasa and the green peppers are jalapeños not green bells.

yeah that shit needs more Lawry's, it's not even red. Simply having other flavorful components of the dish is not seasoning

Paprika makes food red. If you want blackened pork chops, you need smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, rosemary, thyme, cayenne powder, chili powder, and oregano. To be honest, I'm not a huge fan. I prefer blackened fish. For pork chops, I use something called Rib Tickler.

If you've never had blackened salmon or catfish or anything like that, you should. It's amazing. I just don't like blackened pork chops that much. They tend to be tough and a bit dry. I use that rib tickler stuff and toss them in the smoker.
