        >Sierra Mist with 20% less syrup
Sierra Mist was made with cane sugar. Starry is made with HFCS. If anything, it's Sierra Mist with 100% more syrup. Quit soda if you haven't. My pallet is absurdly different after quitting.

Cane sugar soda still comes in syrup form, ya goof.

They are clearly jumping on the sparkling water trend by cutting back on the syrup. Doesn't even taste like a lemon lime soda, really. Some kind of mild generic fruit flavor added to sugar water.

Mix a Cucumber Sprite with half plain sparkling water might approximate it.

did they really rename it because a porn star managed to get the sierra mist trademark?

It's not the same as Sierra Mist, but yes that is the reason they had to stop using the name

        >It's not the same as Sierra Mist, but yes that is the reason they had to stop using the name
I'm guessing they used the name "Starry" out of pure spitefulness, because it's honestly one of those names that I struggle to remember. I've been aware of it for at least half a year now, but it always slips out of my mind whenever I walk away from anything called "Starry"
They probably don't give a frick if people buy it or not. Honestly, I never bought Sierra Mist either.

It's completely uninspired, a lot like Sierra Mist was, but they did pay for an ad during the Super Bowl. Pepsi should just buy 7up outright. They already distribute it outside the US. Sierra Mist was literally the worst performing soda in Pepsi's roster. Worse than Pepsi Max

            >”Johnson, we need a new soda idea on the boss’ desk by five, got any ideas?”
            >”Uhhhhhh”
            >Thinks of what’s kind of like a mountain
            >”Sierra uhhhhhhh”
            >Thinks of what’s kind of like dew
            >”Mist, yeah, that’s it”
            >”Sierra Mist? Like Mountain Dew then”
            >”But without the caffeine”
            >”So like Sprite”
            >”Worse”
            >”Thats fricking genius, Johnson”
            What were they thinking

Having Sierra Mist and Mountain Dew is kinda weird, actually. Never really made the connection.

It feels like a parody version of Sprite, like Rockstar Games creating "Sprunk" for the GTA games.
