In my opinion, its the best "cheap" beer to get.
People shit on American macro-beers, but I actually really like this one. Don't know why it isn't the most popular, I guess a lot of the market really prefers the "water beers" if they're going for a cheap domestic option
no miller lite
no Hamm's
this guy fucks
Is this some new age gorilla marketing tactic?
>gorilla marketing
>gorilla marketing
no i'm white not black
looks, I'll molest the shit outta a case of hamm's but it's not the best. smithwicks is top tier
>checked
>3.8% ABV
What's the point?
I remember getting a case of "Session" beer a couple years ago. I blew through the whole thing on a hot august day and did NOT even catch a buzz. I was pretty mad when I double checked the case as the cans weren't labeled for some reason.
You aren't wrong about Hamms not being the best or anything, but let's be real: NO Macro brew of today is going to tick all the boxes.
>What's the point?
Not being an alcoholic.
But those things are like Billy-Beers.
Hamms aren't like an IPA at 9.2%ABV--they are only 4.7%, but drink 3 in an hour and you'll probably feel it a bit.
I haven't had a single drink tonight, even though I have both beer and mixed drinks at hand..
I'm just not spending money on Alcopop that doesn't do anything for me except taste like beer.
It's a traditional style small beer. Not everything has to be a 9% 'Stalin butt fucker Imperial Stout'.
I'm in MN, Hamms used to be $4 for a tallboy sixpack just two years ago here, now it's $6.
The best macro brew is now unironically steel reserve
Minnesota is a fucking shit hole, the whole fucking state is a nightmare shit hole worse than Indiana.
Based. Also Yuengling light lager.
Good choices anons. Love banquet, wish we had Yeungling around us
agreed, this and Pabst
love that banana nutty taste of a banquet
>no homo
what the fuck is a macro beer
It's just an industry word meaning "big beer company beer. AB/Miller Coors ect
FFS, Retard, you ARE after all on the internet.
Hamms is kind of underrated. I worked at a beer shop and we did a blind test of 9 macros and Hamms came in first overall. I do agree Banquet beer is a solid choice though.
I think Hamms stopped being sold in New England about 5 years ago.
yeah it's too good for coasties and they new pe(s)ts
Modelo is smoother, but XX has more flavor.
Banquet isn't a bad choice, but it's got a corny sweetness and tastes a lot worse quickly as it warms up. I prefer Hamm's and High Life. Yuengling is also good, but it's a different style of beer so it's hard to really compare.
Hamm's is widely available on the west coast.
didn't mean to all fields lel
You're good.
Not hard to do with the boards being so beshitted lately.
>I prefer Hamm's and High Life.
They did something fucky to High Life like 25 years ago(I was an early rooftop drinker,) and I just haven't liked it since. Some kind of foam enhancer or some shit.
I get what you're saying about beers that are too corny-sweet, it's like the halfway mark of every malt liquor out there. Makes me shudder even remembering that taste.
nah i saw it at the save a lot at 268 st. john street just the other day. i couldn't believe it. i drank so much hamms when i lived in milwaukee. and also sterling.
Just started getting Hamms in my part of Texas and that shit mogs all, taste and price-wise. It may be my new cheap go-to
Hamms.... The beer refreshing, hamms? Fuck I haven't heard that shit in forever. I remember the weird bear cartoon commercials.
Hamms is very, very good, the only thing I liked about the brief time I lived in Minnesota was hamms
Banquet is great because it's brewed using delicious rocky mountian water rather than the corn syrup swill they use to make bud
I have buddies that swear by Hamms but I always kind of avoided it because of the name. Don't like thinking about Ham while I'm drinking beer.
>Banquet is great because it's brewed using delicious rocky mountian water rather than the corn syrup swill they use to make bud
Why is this a thing with all these macros? I work at a small brewery and I brew at home for funsies, and I can, and regularly do, make easy drinkin lagers and ales that taste like most macros, but it never occurred to me to use corn syrup at any point in the brewing process.
It's a cheap way to add sugar (and therefore alcohol) without adding body. Probably easier/cheaper than using corn as part of the mash.
I think American macro-beers get a bad rep from the popularity of light beers.
If you compare Banquet to the macro-beers of Europe I think it generally holds up fine. I'd prefer Banquet to Heineken, Becks, Amstel, and Stella Artois, and that's what its comparable to. Mexico has the best macro-beers though probably
>Mexico has the best macro-beers though probably
This. Nothing beats a modelo or a dos equis.
If you haven't tried Dos Equis Amber, I highly recommend it. That's my go-to beer around when autumn starts and I don't feel like having a lime in my drink anymore.
be quicker on the draw then partner, its miller lite
It’s gotta be beeps
nothin like that first banquet in the morning
Much love for the classic American pale ales, brewed with Cascade hops. Sierra Nevada pale, and Sam Adams 76 are very good macro brews.
Sierra Nevada is considered craft beer though.
>Sierra Nevada pale
I prefer pic related. It tastes more balanced to me and the hops aren't overpowering. I don't like hops very much though so this is about the maximum I can enjoy.
>420

The weed branding is lame but it tastes good. At least it doesn't have a cartoon turtle on it.
Shut the fuck up asshole. Your dumb take is invalid just because you liked a cartoon turtle you stupid fuck.
My post implied that cartoon turtles were bad, not that I liked them.
not a bad choice anon. I'm a miller high life guy
i drank high life for a very long time. but the last few years i've also been a coors banquet man. now high life just tastes like corn fluid to me.
>I actually really like this one.
WOW. You actually like beer. I can't believe it. What the fuck.
you got him bro
For me, it’s PBR, the Patrician’s choice.
Brewed on contract by Molson Coors.
No it's not
It is, and it will be until next year. Pabst hasn't brewed their own beer since the 90s.
The brand is owned by a Russian israelite.
Yeungling
Nothing's finer than a Shiner.
Cheapest 6pack that doesn't taste like ass. Thank you Shiner
shiner used to be only like a buck more than the cheap stuff, but now it's priced just below the fancy stuff. it used to be a steal but now it's a ripoff. i haven't bought any in a long time. you can still find the occasional sub-$3 lone star if you know where to look, though, and lone star on tap is just fine with me
This was some of the best beer I've ever tried.
How the mighty has fallen...
Makes me sad that I didn’t start drinking until it was no longer brewed.
totally forgot about these
good stuff
>but I actually really like this one. Don't know why it isn't the most popular
Careful man, or it will catch on and you'll be priced out.
I should give it a try, but my cheap but decent Macro has alway been Hamms or Molson Canadian.
There's already been a $4 price hike on a 30pack in my area since summer.
>priced out
>6 pack of any non-macro American beer is now $12
What the fuck...
Havent drank another beer since i started grabbing these. Dont even get landsharks anymore.
How does your boyfriend like them?
Real mature.
something something your wife's boyfriend
One time I got invited to a small gathering in a coworkers backyard (some lesbian from Georgia) to chill and hang out. I brought two packs of these beers and got drunk off them. I told everyone the vaxx was the biggest civil rights disaster in living memory. They didn't invite me back and I got passed up for a promotion.
To be fair, I suffered brain damage four months prior to that
KWAB
Unvaxxed Chads drink PBR.
All American macro brew lager is pretty much the same. The difference in taste is minute, and no one drinks macro beer for taste. It's a good way to maintain an even level of drunkenness over many hours of steady drinking without blacking out or feeling sick. It's a lot easier on body and mind to drink a twelve pack of American macro brew lager than it is to drink twelve shots or cocktails of hard liquor.
a 12pk of Coors Banquet in the cans is $9.99 at my Total Wine, not a bad deal in modern ~~*America*~~. I love this banana beer like you wouldn't believe.
Banquet, shiner, Gannett. Uhn-huh
I also like Budweiser.
This used to be my number one favorite but can't get it at Bevmo anymore. Dont know what happened to them.
best macro
>coors banquet
best light
>miller lite
dispute this
That cannot be disputed. I kneel.
I've literally never seen Coors in a store ever
I've seen Coors light at most places, but never plain Coors
not quite a macro, but close enough. i miss gannies so much
30 rack for the same price as natty here in atlanta, fucking love me some gansett
coors is nasty and has an odd after taste.
most gays think so
you know gays well? blow them a lot you do.
Banquet or high life are a toss up for me. Both are smooth, very drinkable, and priced right. Can't go wrong with either.
Microbrewery has to be Taxman out of Indiana. Their Belgian inspired line is better than almost all of the true Belgian abbey style ales I've drank. They will mo doubt be sold all over the Midwest soon.
State minimums make me completely avoid macros. It's literally not worth the price, no matter what. If I'm buying "macro" I'd just buy a 24 pack of yuengling.
le tortl
not living the high life? NGMI
Brewed with corn syrup.
it will always be the champagne of beer
My father in law loves that stuff. it's decemt.
Personally if I'm gonna drink cheap beer I perfer Yuengling.
But if I'm gonna buy beer I'm not going for the cheap stuff.

I drank it a couple of times when I was on vacation in the states. I'm from Germany and I think it's really decent. What bothered me a bit was a weird metallic taste after opening. Probably a bad batch of bottle caps or something because I get the same taste sometimes from certain German beers.
I live like 20 minutes away from the brewery and yeah, the metallic taste happens with some batches of the 12oz bottles. It's significantly better on tap or in the 32oz quart bottles but those are kinda rare outside the local area.
nah your taste buds are fucked up already from the mine water runoff, it's not the beer. you better not be one of those minorities that moved to Shenandoah.
Lifelong manoy been drinking this shit since I was 13. But yeah my tastebuds are coated in red ash and coal dust to be fair
This can be remedied by pouring the beer into a frozen glass mug.
My alcoholic uncle used to drink it a bunch. He gave me some as my first few beers. Got a six pack last month and it still tastes bretty good for a macro.
Anons please help me
I love beer but it's just way too fucking expensive here. I don't drink every day but goddamn every time I go and buy beer I'm getting fucked.
Drive to the border and sneak it back in
That legitimately seems the only way to do it
cost about the same as Hamm's
...and tastes way shittier with a mandatory headache and hangover in the morning
and they come in caguamita shape? amazing
Yeah I prefer that bottle shape.
I like Modelo's shape also.
I guess there's advantages to long neck bottles, but its easier to drink the short fat ones
As a Belgian I wonder how yours tastes compared to our biggest beer, probably about the same.
Good morning I hate hops
Whenever I remember that I'll never go back to buying these 2/$3 with my college roommate, I get sad.
IIRC, we binged Fullmetal Alchemist over a weekend while getting fucked on a few dozen of these.
Drinking Tecate 24-ounces underneath the stars
Being the superior couple
Loving who I am 'cause what we are
Thanks for the memories senpai.
>tfw I’ll never get stoned and drunk with the boys again
Yeah, banquets are pretty good, but me? I like the High Life
?si=LpnjbMIXVeLQqePj
Just picked up a 15 pack of coors banquet pint bottles
For me, it's the humble can.
Aka Tallboy.
dammit my grandpa found out about Culinaly
The Patricians choice, PBR.
