All of the Red Lobster branded items in Kroger's meat section were 50% earlier this week, so maybe.

Shit, are they still going to sell the biscuit mix in stores when the chain goes under?

As long as it continues to sell well. The Red Lobster products in grocery stores are made by another company under license to use the name. Even if Red Lobster went Chapter 7 and was dissolved, its creditors would get ownership of the name and it's highly likely they'd continue to license it out to bring in cash.

Good long term, lobsters have been getting smaller for decades and need less fishery pressure to recover

and now it's their turn. besides, if anything you should be blaming all the corporations moving operations over there and all the politicians that let it happen.

                >b-but it's the LE israeliteS doing this!
no anon, there's plenty of white people in powerful positions that are allowing this to happen.

I like the cheese biscuits but for some reason every red lobster location near me is always packed with black people so I rarely go to one. Nothing of value was lost

    >sell the companies property to yourself and charge rent
    >give yourself large a large bonus with your real estate profits
    >profit ???
if i wasn’t any wiser this sounds like a move the mob would do but instead it’s a fully disclosed deal that was legally allowed to happen

It usually was done to expand a business through buying new land franchisees that wanted expansion. Doing it like this doesn't help but every company cares more for liquidity and realestate than keeping the lights on.

      >sounds like a move the mob would do
That's because Red Lobster was literally bought by the Thai mob, or at least one of its fronts.

Never been to Red Lobster? Was it any good? I heard they have biscuits like crack

No it's bottom-tier slop. Maybe it had it's place 20 years ago when it was a trailblazer in bringing seafood to middle America. You can buy the biscuits to make yourself at the grocery store now if you really like it that much.

They're going out of business for a reason

Same. Never been. Can't fathom why you wouldn't eat local instead. Chain restaurants literally never made sense to me.

      Not really, it's very mid.
      > I heard they have biscuits like crack
That's because they have cheddar cheese in them. The biscuits themselves are pretty average and can be made at home.

    Cheddar biscuit recipe. You're welcome.

    2 cups all-purpose flour
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon granulated sugar
    3/4 teaspoon coarse salt
    1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
    1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
    2 teaspoon garlic powder
    2 teaspoon onion powder
    1 tsp dry rosemary
    1 tsp dry thyme
6 tablespoons frozen unsalted butter, grated
6 ounces sharp white cheddar, shredded
1 1/2 cups cold buttermilk, well shaken
    1/4 cup chopped green onion

    1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees with racks in upper and lower third. Line two baking sheets with parchment.
    2. In a large bowl, whisk together dry ingredients. Work grated butter into dry mixture until they form small pebbles then stir in cheddar, cold buttermilk and green onion just until dough comes together; do not overwork.
    3. Using two spoons or an ice cream scooper, drop dough onto prepared baking sheets, spaced 1 inch apart. (alternatively, you can put dollops into cupcake trays for a more uniform look)
    4. Bake in oven until golden brown, 12-14 minutes
