Wal-Mart had a generic brand candy bar. I also like H-E-B's brand of root beer. I tried it and it wasn't bad.

Malt-O-Meal cereal when I was a kid. I don't really eat cereal anymore though, but that generic brand would never get soggy

Malt o meal sucks now. It's not that the product itself is any worse, but it's no longer the bargain brand. Shit goes for $4.50+ for the tiny 17 ounce bags now.

Tragic. I've noticed it was something you used to find only in walmart but is now in basically every grocery chain. We used to get the mega bags because we have a lot of people in my family so it was cheap

Cereal is one thing I don't buy generic brand versions of since they often don't have the same vitamin content

These are really good. Walmart's Doritos knock offs are way better than actual Doritos too.

      ahh these are so good

      Walmart oreos
(the vanilla/chocolates) make my poops really gross and painful but I still eat them because they are the only cookies that are actually cheap.

those are often sold out at my store but ive never tried them, not a big oreos fan

supermarket brand but frick is it good

Is that a California thing? Ive never had a boysenberry anything but saw those 2 buzzfeed unsolved guys go to a boysenberry farm and eat absurdly good looking food with those in them.

      this is thirty seven pence
      tastes like garlic Jesus
other brands are three to four times more expensive.

thats a good deal I feel like anything in the US will up the price to 99 cents to 4.99 for anything.

      yeah

I found a way to cheat the high priced unsalted vs low priced salted peanuts - I wash the salt off of them in water

Every Lidl chocolate bar is just as good as the originals (Snickers, Mars, Twix) and cheaper. In fact the lidl snickers bar is even better than the original.

I almost wish I never received a big jar of boysenberry jam at a foodbank
since then smuckers has stopped carrying it and finding boysenberry anything is near impossible in this shithole state
I can only imagine how good this icecream is

HEB was the only good part of having to spend 8 years in texas for work.

I like knock-off Aldi doritos, they're taste less caustic/sharp and don't hurt my stomach as much.
On the flip side, generic brand pringles are never good.

I shop at Hannaford and so much of their generic brands are better than everything else. Their fruit juices are all superior to Welchs and other brands, their garlic bread is better, their potato chips, their in-store made salsa, etc.
