        >do you think there is a market for meth chocolate
there never was, "panzerschokolade" was just tank crew slang for pervitin tablets

      thanks, buying one right now.

I got them from here a few years back https://www.varusteleka.com/en/product/scho-ka-kola-100-g-tin-box-10-pack/70844
I liked the dark chocolate more, but honestly I'd rather just melt Lindt and add caffeine. Mom loved the tins though

    It's chocolate with extra coffeine.
There's nothing more to it. But if you like it, go for it.

Its nothing special, its chocolate with caffeine.

This is where I also usually encounter Schokakola, never saw anyone eat it somewhere else.

The dark chocolate ain't bad and the tins are cute, nice for storing little things. The caffeine is just a meme, if you ate the entire tin at once you'd get maybe 2 cuppas coffee worth, but a nice bonus. (There is one vendor that describes it as a "mild combat drug", which is bullshit, the chocco was a morale death, and otherwise the Nazis were taking literal actual meth.) If you're adding them to another order or not paying much shipping, go ahead, but I wouldn't pay more than $5/tin.

You were actually right, when they were issued these the troops were often dismayed because it meant they were about to see some serious action.
But yeah I work outside and like to keep a tin of this stuff in my lunchbox, a few pieces make a good afternoon snack. It took me a year and a half to get through a pack of 10 tins from Varusteleka which are actually a pretty reasonable price.

I might try it just for fun, but 200mg of caffeine (an entire tin) is what I consume most mornings lmao I'm sure it was potent enough 90 years ago, but people nowadays have a much higher caffeine tolerance on average.

The chocolate isn't really meant to be your primary source of caffeine. It's more meant to supplement your daily coffee or whatever. You drink your morning coffee, and then snack on the chocolate to maintain the buzz.

      Well, shit.

Anybody try making their own? I have some chocolate left over from halloween and some caffeine powder, thinking of melting it down and mixing them together to make some power caffeine.

    it is not good.
it is chocolate with really poor quality instant coffee powder mixed it.
i got memed into trying it and would like to warn others against it.

It's not really good, you basically just buy it once for the tins. The blue ones are far less common (also better), mostly sold in Edeka AFAIK. They had a green nut version in the 60ies, but I have never seen any for sale anywhere.

Used to be good, but the fags lowered the caffeine by 2/3, so now it's shit for caffeine intake.

This. It's still pretty good as a coffee replacement but if you want more than that, don't really bother. One disc (you get two discs) is the equivalent of a cup of coffee.

Its good quality chocolate and the coffee flavor works well. Its not a monsterzeroultra tho.

It takes some practice to get a proper grip, but the tins are great for cramming. (In German it's called Krammenschokolade.)

Got a pack of them about a year ago. They're okay. Nothing to write home about, in my opinion. The tin is cool though.

These Trader Joe's coffee dark chocolate bars are pretty nice. Each 25 gram bar has 70mg of caffeine so gram for gram they're more potent than Schokakola.

It’s just expensive chocolate in a nice tin
Unironically a novelty and if you’re looking for a legitimate boost of energy and morale you can get it far more efficiently, in the same form factor, from a tin of dip or snus

I'd buy them if they returned meth to the ingredients.

It never had meth. It's been conflated with the drug Pervitin which was given to German troops as a "go-pill" to counteract sleep deprivation. It was also commonly used by bomber pilots on long missions. Modern militaries still use a similar drug called Modafanil which is much less addictive, and is given to pilots and special forces on long missions. Modafanil can also be prescribed to people with chronic fatigue syndrome, or narcolepsy.

Its fine, nothing special. The dark chocolate verision (red tin) is superior to the milk chocolate version.

Each tin has two 16 piece pucks of chocolate.

It says on the back of the tin, 8 pieces has the same caffiene as a cup of coffee.

There are lots of inserts and dividers you can 3D print to fit in to the tins. I use it to hold split shot weights for fishing.
