    It's stew season.
Get the cheapest lump of meat you can find and whichever root vegetables are in season/on sale or maybe a cabbage.
You can have bread, beans, rice, lentils etc. with it if you want.
Can't go wrong with a nice stew.

chickpeas, soaked for 12-24 hours, then pressure cooked for 45 min. You can make hummus if you're fancy, have them as is with (chipotle) mayo, or pan fry them and eat them plain. Delicious, filling, nutritious, cheap.

Take a potato, microwave it then mash it
Take a bag of frozen veggies, steam it
Take a cheap cut of meat
Mix it all together in a bowl and eat. It's what got me through college. If you're feeling fancy make some Stove Top stuffing and add it in.

Just made a breakfast bowl this morning with eggs, potato, cheap ground sausage, black beans, and tomatoes. It was super cheap and tasted amazing. Would still be good even without the sausage.
