yeah literally anything you posted and anything else will go great with the rice. add whatever fuel you need for the day. add splash of vinegar to fight the fried rice syndrome. God speed

Why does every dumb bait thread on Culinaly involve either rice or some shitty korean meme food? (we all know the answer)
OP: do you have someone who looks after you?
Your pour cans of Cream of Mushroom soup over canned creamy chicken rice.
Optional: add a can of shredded chicken breast, canned corn, canned hotdogs, canned mushrooms. Microwave for two minutes, serve with ketchup, mayonnaise and yellow mustard.

because I'm poor. this is what i had. i made it work. it doesn't taste great, but it doesn't lack flavor either. It's not what I usually eat because (noted above): I"M FRICKING POOR.

that being said, here are some notes for others who ARE POOR:
      - 2 cups white rice (wash it at least 7 times unless cooking with the dish)
      - use more salt/pepper than seems advisable (double both, also double your usual itallian-like seasonings).
      - if you can scrounge mushrooms, scrounge 'em. they just dont include enough in the can to really shine through.
      - very finely chop your veg (i used broccoli, thinking equal mix carrots/greenbeans could work.)
      - use 3-5 tbs butter, at least two when caramelizing ur onions+garlic
      - probably will get better taste than I did if you make it all in one pot instead of ricecooker, ->
      - if you do this, just cook onion/garlic/protein first with olive oil+butter+seasoning
      - (if you have protein (high-fat meat cuts), might wanna do that first and wait until a nice fond builds)
      - add diced veg for ~60 sec on med-high (again, add more mushrooms if u can)
      - add cup of the goop that is campbell's cream of mushroom soup
      - add 1/2 can of milk instead of water
      - cook on low for ~20min with lid on
      - also (thank u anon) use at least 1 egg, but only after the rice is cooked. put it all together and mix and keep the heat on low and stir constantly. wanna cook the egg but it adds a really nice texture.

i enjoyed cooking this, but as with all poor-person slop, it's def not restaurant risotto.

Steam some broccoli or whatever veg you have for a side pls, your body will be happy <3

        ALSO, holy frick.
Parmesan cheese grated atop of this would make it truely a delight.
        ALAS, money is tight.

Trying it again, i think the Rice could be lessened to ~1.5 cups. It's kinda dry with 2.+ cups.

money doesn't grow on trees dumbass. also i'm like 1hr away busride from costco.

Why not add some beans to your rice?
Fry them both in lard, add cream of mushroom, and eat.
I find lard to be more cost effective than butter. Butter barely has any nutritional value as it is, and they barely put any fat in it.

what kinda beans? if not canned, what prep?
as u can tell i'm not a chef.

your local supermarket has rotisserie chickens for $6 or $7, used right shit lasts you half a week.
if you have the money for $4 cans of soup then you can work another 15min overtime at your job to afford a fricking chicken
        stop being a moron

    dumbass car-driving shitposter besides
i really think the best way to do this was to cook the rice with the cream of mushroom soup. Everything stays the same, except:
    - only 1 cup rice, but only once everything is boilding. treat like packaged rice, bring all ingredients to boil, add rice, then simmer for ~20 on extra low
    - more mushrooms
    - because 1cup rice, only 3tbs butter,
    - still keep steamed veg in ur diet (ur tummy will thank u <3)

You could get to Costco in 10-15 min with a car and have your superior $5 rotisserie but you're too much of a smelly homosexual to bother. Imagine 120+g of full amino acid profile protein, you don't even have to salt it.
