Post the recipe, that sounds pretty fuckin good
here's the finished product. Completely worth the wait
beans almost exclusively.
i prefer to braise my meats and finish my soups in the oven.
though it does come in handy keeping foods warm if you're hosting a party.
*13-15 bean soup mix (regular which gets the lemon wedge to serve, cajun style which gets green onion topping and lots of Crystal to serve with the french bread, or italian style which gets a parmesan rind in the crock potk, finishing drizzle of olive oil and parsley).
*Senate navy bean soup
Sometimes I use the crock pot to cook ribs or pork chops, and finish with a glaze on the BBQ or under the broiler element. I vary the glaze from a chinese-hoisin idea with lots of garlic and chopped ginger, or just whatever BBQ sauce matches my planned sides. I like the crock pot for pork ribs because I might have my oven busy with a baked mac n cheese, or a corn bread cast iron. I feel more rested for company if I didn't watch a smoker for hours.
Chili, pot roast, and pulled pork mostly.
>pot roast, and pulled pork mostly.
