the large green beans in asian markets, not the thin ones that they westoids eat. adds the crunch/juicy/veggie without being overpowering.
in terms of restaurant quality, i always like the really fancy chinese fried rice that contains like multiple finely chopped ingredients. japanese also do a similar one. i cant really recall the ingredients, but i know white pepper is the main seasoning, and egg is a must of course. i think ingredients might not matter, just white pepper, soy sauce, eggs, finely chop what you like.
Rice, onion, garlic, egg, pepper, sugar, oyster sauce, and a pinch of chicken stock powder as a starter. Then I add some other stuff that I have around in my fridge
Carrot in thin strips, peas, corn, breaded cubed porc chop cuts that I fry, egg, chicken, beef bouillon cub as the only rice seasoning when cooking rice other than soy sauce.
