I like CC sometimes but I know they're a genetically modified abomination. It shouldn't be possible for an apple to be that crisp and sweet. Plus they have a weird twinge of flavor sometimes.

I actually like Red Delicious. I usually don't get other apples because they're disappointing by comparison, with their inferior nutrient density. When Red Delicious is mealy, it's not because it's Res Delicious, but because it's old, which Red Delicious is able to become thanks to its superior antioxidant content.

mcintosh apples have the best texture for eating raw. i'm not sure what's best for cooking or juicing.
Trezeke Meijers and Jacques Lebel are gigantic this year. They always are, if they want to form fruit, and that's a big if.

Red Delicious is kind of bland, though. Not delicious at all.
The crazy thing about red delicious is that once upon a time it was apparently a really good apple, but because they started breeding it for appearance due mass supermarket demand, it began to lose it's flavor and now its a bland apple.
