She didn't tell me anything, when I asked her about it she just rolled her eyes and told me not to eat junk food and left it at that.

Because diet isn't very relevant to hypothyroid. You need thyroid meds.

Sure it is, people who have thyroid disorders are typically low on iodine and iron. So sea food and beans would be a good idea, although I wouldn't overdo it considering levothyroxine already has some level of iodine in it.

Just eat whatever. Pay some attention to cabbages and make sure to include selenium and iodine to protect your thyroid and make it last the longest until the unavoidable
        But ask your doctor

for iodine and selenium you can take a supplement or try to include carefully seaweed and brazilian nuts in your diet
          but again ask your doctor

you should go see an endocrinologist and ask these questions. your family doctor is great at putting a bandaid on you and getting you addicted to opiates, but it basically ends there for them.

      >4 of a kind checked
Our medical system is ridiculous. All designed to funnel money to specialists rather than have a strong front line of primary care docs.

Avoid foods and supplements that contain calcium for four hours after taking levothyroxine. If you don't like black coffee I'd suggest you learn quick. Otherwise it's according to your own nutritional needs, CICO. I was diagnosed with hashimoto's thyroiditis a little over 20 years ago, it hasn't affected me much.
