    >form 1/3 pound patties from 80/20 beef
    >season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder (3-1-1) right before cooking
    >grill medium-rare, flipping once
    >serve on toasted bun of choice, with desired toppings and condiments
The only real rules about toppings and condiments is that toppings go ON TOP of the patty and cheese (if using), and the only thing on the bottom bun should be a fat based condiment. After that, pretty much anything goes, but for a "classic" burger, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles are essential.

Cheese on the bottom of the burger, against the bread, is objectively the best thing you can do. Keeping the cheese away from vegetables, and the cheese and bread will come together and form a grilled cheese effect. Putting your cheese against cold and wet vegetables should get you 5 to 10 years in prison imo

Eh, I prefer the mayo there and the cheese melted onto the patty but I can understand your stance here. I just don't add veg to my burgers so it doesn't affect me, preferring to have a salad on side instead.

You not being able to recognize every one of those points as specific to contemporary American politics is the only thing that's been said that really makes it unclear if there's a non-American in this discussion. Other than the student lunches and book bans (done by the GOP presidential frontrunner if Trump were to have a heart attack tomorrow, btw), that entire list is basically the last administration's education policy. Literally spend 5 minutes reading about Betsy Devos. She probably did more (or at least tried to do more) to affect public education in the country than any other secretary of education. You may not think educations isn't a national party issue, but the republican party absolutely does.

The fact that you seem to think the US Department of Education has anything to do with education or that the US is even structured that way, belies your utter foreignness.

Fun fact: the US DOE was created as a civil rights enforcement agency. It has nothing really to do with education policy and in fact education metrics have gone down consistently since it's creation. Education is a state and local issue. Always has been. The fact that you don't know this is unsurprising, since you aren't American and thus you see everything through a centralized, authoritarian, bureaucratic lens.

That's the problem with you people. You have a bunch of talking points and just fling a bunch of shit at the wall hoping something sticks, even when your talking points directly contradict one another. You're also conflating descriptive with prescriptive, and for some reason don't understand that civil rights means largely means equal access and opportunity, and if you're denying access to 90% of the population that is absolutely an issue with education.

I don't usually approve of head lettuce because it can create an unstable burger as well as being slightly too moist. Leaf is better, but can have less-than-ideal textural issues. Best is bar none shredded Romaine, but you have to make sure you shred from mid-stalk and always shred fresh (NEVER BUY bagged shreds or you'll die a bug-chaser death like a Chipotle-eater)

This may blow your mind, but temperature dynamic is inevitable. McDonalds has tried to solve the "problem" of the patty cooking the veggies through technology but were stymied by hippie tree huggers.

The real solution is the obvious one: get your burgers hot and fresh and eat them immediately. Under no circumstances should you compromise your burger designs because you can't figure out that the lettuce obviously goes on the bottom

Practically everything about those burgers is repugnant, but your basic architecture is sound. This moron acting like chemistry is going to prevent a medium rare burger's juices from swamping his bottom bun piece is an absolute moron.

Lettuce on the BOTTOM is non-negotiable if you wish to prevent disaster.

all this salty strong cheddar cheese and spicy mayo. No. You need mild or slightly sweet ingredients to mellow out the beef and bacon. bbq sauce and swiss or mozza cheese is where it's at.

70:30 beef to pork mince fresh from the local butcher, coarsely ground twice, about 100g per patty
    Salt & pepper
    Dried oregano
    1-2 cloves crushed garlic
    Chili flakes
a drop of extra virgin olive oil
a tsp to heavy pinch white flour, depending on quantity of mince
    equal amount water to flour
Mix in a bowl, measure patties out in balls on scale and either press them by hand if I'm grilling, or press them onto a heated steel pan. Sear on both sides and add a slice of aged white cheddar just before finishing.
Toast buns, give guests options of mayo, ketchup, yellow mustard & dijon mustard as condiments, they can dress the bun with salad, pickled peppers, onions and tomato.
If I have to make burgers for my wife's bugmen friends I do 80g of cheapo packaged mince per patty, no seasoning besides salt, pepper & paprika and let them sort their own toppings out.

      >i take a frozen bubba burger out of the box
Something changed with Bubba burgers within the past decade. They're not nearly as good as they used to be.

      >kraft american cheese deli delux
Deli Deluxe is the absolute baseline aganist which all other American cheese is judged. You can go Land o' Lakes or Boar's Head and get "better" American but this is the absolute gold standard. No need to do anything else, really.

(even they recommend lettuce-on-bottom, by the way)

80/20 golfballs rolled in salt and pepper
    Smashed on cast iron
Kraft singles I don't fricking care
King Hawaiian rolls buttered and toasted butter-side down
Special sauce made from mayo and sugary barbecue in roughly equal amounts and spiced with a taco seasoning that doesn't have too much cumin
Caramelized onions cooked down into mush

    that's about it

Melt a beef stock cube with a small amount of hot water, mix that into the beef. After the burgers are fried, stir the rendered fat into your sauce.
