I’ll have you know our business is booming and is recession-proof. We don’t run any ads, period. You can find local marketers who work out of the warehouse, who are warehouse employees just like the stockers and cashiers, at your local sporting events, fairs and gatherings. Purely grassroot
I got fired from Costco over a decade ago because I was taking too many breaks from retrieving carts. In the Florida sun and humidity at the peak of summer, mind you
Yeah how much people care depends on the location but seniority will make you pretty immune to real trouble. If you were fired within your first 90 days it makes sense, you’re practically on a trial period at that point
How long had you worked there prior to that? Were you a seasonal? I doubt you were even at your 90 days for them to fire you without repeated warnings and discussions first.
>use a loss leader strategy >in the information age where people just disseminate which products are the loss leaders and everyone buys exclusively the loss leaders
>have loss leaders >have loyal customers paying you to shop there and walk out with $400+ grocery carts loaded with kirkland brand goods
Seems like a winning strategy still.
putting that much work into figuring out what the loss leaders are and targeting them is a sign of poverty and you should really change that perspective
Maybe having loss leaders everywhere wasn’t the best idea

Costco runs ads, I get fliers in the mail all the time
oh and I would like to add the only shilling that’s done here is by me during my shift at Costco while I’m chilling in the bathroom for 40 minutes

One time I went to the bathroom in costco and a man who was handing out samples was cleaning plates in there. I wish I was fucking joking

This is not true at all if you look at carts during checkout. People buy all kinds of slop from Costco

Seems like a winning strategy still.

Hasn’t held us back, okay buddy? Every day hundreds of $60 and $110 memberships renew automatically at every single warehouse, you do the math
Bro they’re shilling HARD lmao. It’s not even subtle.
#1 wine distributor in the USA by the way, suck on that
