The bar I frequent has a "Poormans Mimosa" that's a High Life and Sunny D. It is by far my favorite thing to drink there.

I went to see my friends band at a bar near Boston last month and I ordered a drink special called "Mama Tried". It was a bottle of MGD or High Life and a shot of Jack Daniels. All for under $14. Best non happy hour value I've had at a bar. Happy hour is illegal in Massachusetts as well as ordering more than two drinks at a time.

Funnily enough I'm from Mass so I knew happy hour is banned here, as for the ordering more than two drink ive def done that multiple times

moving to Concord in June. is it true what they say that it's extremely racist there? I've had two boomers tell that to me. I ask because I have a black wife

Black or African? It really all comes down to money in Massachusetts. I assume you have cash to blow if you can afford to live in Concord. Just wear expensive clothing and never buy groceries at Market Basket and you'll fit right in. You are also screwed if your don't eat seafood. Seafood restaurants are to Boston what steakhouses are to Nebraska.

black, but not low class ghetto type. I love seafood, used to live in Texas and would go down to South Padre Island every weekend to eat flounder and "crab fingers" was da bomb

same anon as first reply. what's the deal with market basket? looks very clean doesn't give me white trash vibes

I hope you are making a bag every year to trade Texas for Massachusetts. I almost exclusively shop at Market Basket. It gets a bad reputation because people's first experience going is noon on a weekend. Most of the locations are very clean and the always have plenty of employees because they refuse to install self checkout. It's basically that white collar mid wits are willing to pay for more for grocery as long as the only language the hear is English. The large brown and yellow customer base means the often have "exotic" meats for sale like rabbit and goose. I only go to the Danvers and Chelsea location. Chelsea sells goat.

Yes, Black person lover. Boston is Klan country and those good ole boys will get you. Highest number of lynchings per capita and a long history of slavery, segregation. You better watch your back in Concord

If you stick with some of the larger cities in Massachusetts you might be ok. But Provincetown, Newton, Lexington, Concord - huge Ku Klux Klan presence. I believe every single day the cops are literally shooting innocent blacks for no reason. Unfortunately Massachusetts is MAGA country

Are you sure that’s not his slave? I believe the proud boys (biggest political party in Massachusetts) passed a law that said no Black folk allowed in Massachusetts unless they’re sex slaves.

Just go to P-Town. I saw a black man being fricked in an alley outside of a bar. He was presumably getting raped by a racist Nazi but you don’t ask questions in Massachusetts when it comes to Klan business

The KKK had a sizeable membership in Maine until the late 1980s. My father used to travel to Rockland ME to go work on commercial fishing boats, he said one of the boat owners was proud to be in the Klan and offered my father an application. The KKK owned a nice Victorian mansion that the converted into a club house in the 1920s. The building sadly fell victim to arson.

They say it was arson but the reality is they were probably burning a cross indoors which is a common Christmas tradition in New England. Unfortunately a lot of homes in upper New England are heated with propane so it causes a lot of problems

Cape Cod is the gayest place on Earth and Provincetown is the gayest place in Cape Cod. All colors of the rainbow come there to get fricked up the ass.

It’s also known as Rape Cod because it’s where the Ku Klux Klan and Nazi party historically smuggled African Americans they kidnapped from black Wall Street to sexually assault them because Massachusetts is the only state in the US where raping blacks is legal

Most bars let me buy a bucket of beers if I say a couple people are at my table, I've only been called out once. It's way harder to find a bar that would line up a couple shots at once no matter how short I told the bartender my lunch break was.

It's basically just slightly beer flavored water, I really don't understand the point of it. It's not terrible, but if you want watery beer, Michelob Ultra is the objectively superior choice.
